WWE RAW

August.Week 2.2017

Dallas, TX

CHAMPIONS

WWE Universal Champion: Samoa Joe

WWE Intercontinental Champion: The Miz

WWE RAW Tag Team Champions: The Hardy Boyz (Matt & Jeff Hardy)

WWE RAW Women's Champion: Paige

WWE RAW POWER RANKINGS

1. Jeff Hardy (WWE RAW Tag Team Champion)

2. Matt Hardy (WWE RAW Tag Team Champion)

3. The Miz (WWE Intercontinental Champion)

4. Finn Bálor

5. Dana Brooke

IN TWO WEEKS AT SUMMERSLAM: “The Samoan Submission Machine” Samoa Joe defends the WWE Universal Championship against former Universal Champion “The Beast Incarnate” Brock Lesnar, “The Big Dog” Roman Reigns and “The Monster Among Men” Braun Strowman in a Fatal 4-Way Match for the WWE Universal Championship!

SHOW OPENER PROMO

Brock Lesnar once again protests his championship rematch for the Universal Championship now being a Fatal 4-Way Match against Roman Reigns, Samoa Joe and Braun Strowman at SummerSlam, but “The Conqueror” opted not to turn Dallas into Suplex City. Instead Lesnar, believing RAW General Manager Kurt Angle only sanctioned the bout to put Lesnar in an unwinnable match, expressed his displeasure by way of a monumental ultimatum: If Brock loses at “The Biggest Event of the Summer”, he'll leave WWE and take his advocate with him.

LAST WEEK ON RAW: Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose, two Superstars no stranger to the numbers game, overcame the odds by defeating The Miz and The Miztourage in a main event bout that left Ambrose with a minor injury.

IN THE BACKSTAGE AREA: Seth Rollins continued his attempts to mend fences with Dean Ambrose but to avail.

NEXT: The Hardy Boyz may rule the roost as RAW Tag Team Champions, but the competition to rise above the pack has gotten incredibly fierce of late.

MATCH #1

Tag Team Match

The Revival (Scott Dawson & Dash Wilder) vs Heath Slater & Rhyno

WINNER: The Revival (Scott Dawson & Dash Wilder)

Method: Submission from Dawson on Slater

Finish: Inverted Figure Four Leg Lock

IN THE BACKSTAGE AREA: Seth Rollins has a run-in with Sheamus who makes fun of Seth for nobody wanting to associate with him anymore. The Bar are the current #1 contenders for the RAW Tag Team Titles and Seth is the #1 contender of nothing. Cesaro says that The Bar are more trustworthy than The Shield and Seth shuts this all down by challenging both Sheamus and Cesaro on tonight in a Two on One Handicap Match.

LAST WEEK ON RAW: Neville, the challenger for Cedric Alexander's WWE Cruiserweight Championship at SummerSlam, explained that his vicious attack on Akira Tozawa the week prior wasn't personal and that it was purely a move to keep Neville on the mind of Cedric Alexander and to make sure that people are paying their attention to the king because at SummerSlam, Cedric will bend the knee and all of the peasants like Tozawa will follow suit.

MATCH #2

Six-Man Tag Team Match

Neville, Ariya Daivari & The Brian Kendrick vs Rich Swann, Mustafa Ali & Gran Metalik

WINNERS: Rich Swann, Mustafa Ali & Gran Metalik

Method: Pinfall from Ali on Kendrick

Finish: 450 Splash

MIDDLE CARD PROMO

Jason Jordan's parentage has been the talk of RAW ever since Kurt Angle revealed that Jason was his son two weeks ago. The Miz brought out the young Superstar and immediately began his passive-aggressive line of questioning.

Miz's offer to mentor Jordan and add him to The Miztourage was turned down politely enough, but tensions began to escalate when “The A-Lister” implied that Jordan would receive preferential treatment from Angle. Miz went so far as to demean The Olympic Hero as a “washed-up jock” pining for long-gone glory. Jordan promised a beat-down if Miz kept trash-talking his father.

The Miz vs Jason Jordan

PROMO BATTLE WINNER: The Miz

IN THE OFFICE OF RAW GM KURT ANGLE: Angle meets with Dean Ambrose and asks “The Lunatic Fringe” if he'd do Kurt a favor and be Seth Rollins' partner for a night against The Bar. Dean accepts but makes it clear that he's doing it as professional courtesy to Kurt and not personal favor to Seth. Kurt thanks Dean and says that he doesn't need to tell him what happens when you beat the team that are the current #1 contenders. Ambrose only scoffs at this notion as he leaves.

MATCH #3

Tag Team Match

Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose vs The Bar (Sheamus & Cesaro)

WINNERS: The Bar (Sheamus & Cesaro)

Method: Count out from Sheamus on Ambrose

Finish: Gutwrench Suplex

LAST WEEK ON RAW: “The Eater of Worlds” Bray Wyatt interfered in Finn Bálor's rematch against Goldust and laid Bálor out.

MIDDLE CARD PROMO

Bray Wyatt arrived to preach his gospel, decrying the entire Bálor Club as wayward sheep following a shell of a man that never was. Finn Bálor answered by letting Bray know that he's ready to play his games.

Bray Wyatt vs Finn Bálor

PROMO BATTLE WINNER: Bray Wyatt

MATCH #4

Post-Match: Maryse tells Paige that she'll see her at SummerSlam.

INTERVIEW: The Big Show says that respect is something he can teach Big Cass. Enzo Amore steps in and apologizes to Show for dragging him into Cass’ orbit but “The World's Largest Athlete” says that after tonight the only apology that will have to be made is to Big Cass himself after what Show will do to his jaw and/or throat tonight.

MATCH #7

MAIN EVENT
