Last Sunday Night at WWE TLC: Before his match against “The Lone Wolf” Baron Corbin, “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles was attacked from behind on the stage by Corbin as a brawl broke out that ended with Corbin laying out Styles with a clothesline before both Superstars were back on their feet. The official was able to restrain them and rule the match a no contest.

Tonight on SmackDown Live: “The Lone Wolf” Baron Corbin will take on The Miz.

Last Sunday Night at WWE TLC: Dean Ambrose successfully defended the WWE Championship in a championship rematch against John Cena who recently adopted a rule-breaking attitude as the WWE Universe voiced their disapproval at John Cena after he showed them and his opponent complete disrespect.

Dean Ambrose vs Tyson Kidd

Pre-Match: Before Dean and Kidd can lock up, John Cena's music hits. Cena comes out to watch the match at ringside as he jawjacks with Ambrose.

Mid-Match: Ambrose exits the ring to confront Cena and his jawjacking which allows Kidd to regain the advantage over the champ.

Winner: Dean Ambrose

Interview: SmackDown Live Commissioner Shane McMahon and SmackDown General Manager Daniel Bryan announce that they are now on the road to the Royal Rumble. One of the most exciting times on the WWE calendar where 30 WWE Superstars all vie for the coveted opportunity to win the Royal Rumble and go on to headline WrestleMania.

Shane and Bryan continue on by announcing that since Team RAW beat Team SmackDown at Survivor Series, SmackDown Live has lost one entry slot in the Royal Rumble match. Furthermore, the top 15 Superstars from each brand (Or in SmackDown Live's case, 14) will comprise the entries in the Rumble match. This means that throughout the rest of December and January WWE Superstars will all be jockeying for position to try to be a part of that top 15. Every match from RAW, SmackDown Live and WWE Main Event will all have extra stakes attached.

Mid-Match: Naomi is distracted by Tamina's entrance music, allowing Alexa Bliss to regain the advantage.

Interview: Naomi expresses her frustration and confusion as to why her former Team B.A.D. Partner Tamina would cost her such a high-stakes match. She adds that she had thought that they had squashed their beef ages ago.
