MIND GAMES

The mind games have started as John Cena tries to throw off WWE Champion Dean Ambrose's strategy.

Tonight on SmackDown Live

The WWE Champion Dean Ambrose will go one on one with John Cena. The West Newbury native is focused on his mission to teach Dean Ambrose respect after “The Lunatic Fringe” abandoned his Survivor Series team in favor of shifting the PPV card last-minute and challenging fellow teammate Cena to a WWE Championship match later that night. Cena would go on to lose the WWE Championship and Team SmackDown would go on to lose their match.

Several weeks later at WWE TLC, John Cena would be unsuccessful in his championship rematch and many in the WWE Universe are attributing these series of events for Cena's adjustment in attitude. The former champ looks to be backed into a corner tonight. If he loses tonight's non-title bout then he would surely be driven out of the title picture. However, if Cena can beat Ambrose tonight then that would certainly earn him the right to challenge for the WWE Championship once more.

“The Phenomenal” AJ Styles will take on “The Lone Wolf” Baron Corbin in a match that was supposed to take place two weeks ago at WWE TLC that led to the match being thrown out after Corbin attacked Styles from behind. Last week, AJ would get payback of his own but tonight on SmackDown Live, “The Phenomenal One” looks to put down “The Lone Wolf”!
