FROM THE DESK OF MR. McMAHON: WCW Monday Nitro will now have exclusivity on Monday nights! The attitude era brand section of the WCW/WWE Universe has been left speechless at this seemingly rash move by the chairman.

LAST NOVEMBER ON NITRO: Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat '94 picked up a huge victory when he made quick work of the man they call Vader.

LAST WEEK ON NITRO: Vader knows that he should be looking up the WCW rankings for his next target for destruction but he can't help but to look under him in the rankings to the man beneath him, Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat '94. LAST WEEK ON NITRO: Lord Steven Regal won a Fatal 4-Way Match to earn an opportunity next week on Nitro at the WCW United States Championship currently held by Goldberg.

SHOW CLOSER PROMO
Lord Steven Regal delivers a history lesson about the time that he exposed the unstoppable Goldberg during his legendary streak. WCW officials had Regal take on Goldberg because they thought that he would be just another tomato can for Goldberg to obliterate and plow right through. Unfortunately for their plans, Regal gave Goldberg a lesson in technical wrestling and was rewarded with a pink slip by WCW officials.

With Lord Steven Regal now back in WCW, Nitro is run by different officials with Mr. McMahon overseeing the brand and Regal finds himself with a long overdue opportunity: expose Goldberg, defeat Goldberg and become the NEW WCW United States Champion.

Goldberg comes out and reminds Regal that it was Goldberg who won that match long ago. He wouldn't have fired Regal if it were up to him but perhaps WCW officials were fed up with Regal and wanted to feed him to the big, bad wolf before kicking him out the door. The WCW United States Champion warns Regal to not get his hopes up because history will repeat itself next week on Nitro when Goldberg drops Regal with another spear and another jackhammer.
