FOR THE PAST SEVERAL WEEKS ON SMACKDOWN LIVE: John Cena has mocked Dean Ambrose's spirited speech about how he gets back up every time that he falls down, as well as how Ambrose compares himself to a rabid dog that keeps getting back up to make Cena's life hell as long as he's the WWE Champion.

John Cena has continued to invite Ambrose to keep chomping after him because he is only digging his own grave deeper. John wants to face Ambrose every single week until WrestleMania because he wants to make sure that “The Lunatic Fringe” knows that he just doesn't measure up. John Cena has defeated Dean Ambrose four times in a row. However...

SHOW OPENER PROMO

Dean Ambrose comes out and talks about how a wise man once said that “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results.”. “The Lunatic Fringe” suspects that his fringe might not be so lunatic as he has kept coming after John Cena for week after week with the end result always being the same: Cena defeating Ambrose. However, Ambrose would seemingly be absolved from his lunacy last week as he pinned John Cena right in the middle of the ring.

Ambrose says that just because Cena finally hit a brick wall last week doesn't mean that their fun has to stop. Dean calls out Cena and challenges him to another match tonight. Cena accepts before informing Ambrose about the law of odds. There's always a chance of a fluke occurring on any given night and last week's outcome was clearly just that. Cena will always beat Ambrose nine out of ten times!

This prompts Ambrose to clock Cena with his microphone, prompting a brawl that Ambrose gets the better of.
