TWO WEEKS AGO ON NITRO: Dustin Rhodes defeated Fit Finlay in a Last Man Standing Match to retain the WCW Hardcore Championship. Both competitors had a gentleman's agreement that the loser would not seek another championship rematch.

TONIGHT: Finlay says that he is no gentleman and he wants Dustin Rhodes for the WCW Hardcore Championship right here tonight. He doesn't even want to face Dustin in a Hardcore Rules Match, Finlay simply wants a one on one wrestling match because his punches and kicks are just as dangerous as foreign objects.

LAST WEEK ON NITRO: Booker T and Bret “Hitman” Hart '98 engaged in match #5 in their Best of Seven Series that saw Bret defeat Booker after utilizing a devastating low blow, a move incredibly unbecoming of a technical master like “The Hitman”.

TONIGHT: It's once again a must-win situation for Bret Hart who must be feeling the pressure after having to utilize a low blow last week to win the match. All Booker T needs is one more win and he wins the Best of Seven Series! Booker is also now injury-free and 100%!

LAST MONTH ON NITRO: After losing a hard-contested battle to Bret “Hitman” Hart '98, Sting '98 went on to defeat Bam Bam Bigelow who Bret brought in to face Sting rather than face the red-painted icon himself. Bigelow, refusing to be a one-note pawn in this rivalry has since demanded a rematch with Sting '98.

LAST WEEK ON NITRO: Bam Bam Bigelow followed up on his promise that he was not going to be fodder for Sting '98 on his quest for a rematch against Bret Hart by defeating Sting '98! This defeat has surely set Sting '98 back on his mission for a rematch against “The Hitman”.

TONIGHT: Sting '98 and “The Beast from the East” clash in tag team action!

INTERVIEW: Despite Bam Bam wanting to take on Sting '98 and his Wolfpac by himself, WCW management is forcing him to have a tag team partner tonight. They think they're real smart for pairing him up tonight with Disco Inferno and citing them as both being former members of The New Blood.

Wasn't Disco just recently teaming up with Sting '98 as the Wolfpac? Bigelow threatens management if he gets set up tonight. Disco tries to reassure Bigelow by telling him that Sting '98 didn't want anything to do with Disco when they were teaming up, let alone now. Bam Bam isn't worried because he'll simply bash Disco's skull in if he tries anything.

LAST WEEK ON NITRO: Vader talked about how he beat Lex Luger, Bret Hart and Bam Bigelow in the same match to become the #1 contender for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship currently held by Sting '99. Since then, Vader has been the sword of Damocles hanging precariously over Sting's head and has watched Sting patiently from the shadows as he warded of foes and challengers but now the time has come...

IN TWO WEEKS ON NITRO: The #1 contender for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, the man they call Vader will challenge the man called Sting '99 for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship on the season finale of WCW Monday Nitro!

The WCW World Heavyweight Champion Sting '99 welcomes Vader to their battleground in two weeks. Vader is a modern day Goliath who's left body after body in his wake and now all that lies before “The Mastodon” is the World Heavyweight Champion himself.
