LAST WEEK ON NITRO: The WCW Hardcore Champion Disco Inferno pulled off what many angry fans are calling an upset victory over Shane Douglas. As a result, Disco has been calling himself “The Real Franchise”. The champ adds that after he beats Terry Funk tonight, not only will he be the greatest Hardcore Champion in WCW history but people should start calling him the new hardcore legend!

MATCH #1

WCW HARDCORE CHAMPIONSHIP

Falls Count Anywhere Match

Disco Inferno (c) vs Terry Funk

WINNER and STILL WCW HARDCORE CHAMPION: Disco Inferno

Method: Pinfall

Finish: Low Blow!

INTERVIEW: The WCW World Television Champion Scott Hall of the NWO boasts about how he's been champion for 161 days which is longer than any reigning champion in WCW right now and he's had four successful title defenses which is also more than any other champion right now.

“Hacksaw” Jim Duggan crashes the interview and tells Hall that the reigning WCW World Tag Team Champions, Sting '99 and “The Total Package” Lex Luger, also have four successful title defenses and that's all that Hall will have after Duggan beats him for the title.

Hall simply wishes Duggan luck in even getting an opportunity at the Television Title.

MATCH #2

Normal Match

La Parka vs Marty Jannetty

WINNER: La Parka

Method: Pinfall

Finish: Spear

LAST WEEK ON NITRO: Goldberg successfully defended the WCW United States Championship a third time. Tonight, the champ is ready and rearing to keep his streak going as he guns for a fourth successful title defense tonight. (This would tie Goldberg with Sting/Lex Luger and Scott Hall).

MATCH #3

WCW UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP

Normal Match

Goldberg (c) vs Hugh Morrus

WINNER and STILL WCW UNITED STATES CHAMPION: Goldberg

Method: Pinfall

Finish: Spear & Jackhammer

Post-Match: Hugh Morrus walks away disappointed as he had hoped to beat Goldberg since he was Goldberg's first streak victim back in the day.

INTERVIEW: Bret “The Hitman” Hart starts off by talking about how he's going to make Sting submit to the Sharpshooter next week to become the new WCW World Heavyweight Champion, the best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be in World Championship Wrestling.

He also talks about how The British Bulldog and himself (with Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart in their corner) defeated the WCW World Tag Team Champions Sting and Lex Luger in a non-title tag team match which is a heck of a way for a team to make a statement.

In the WCW, Bret has always had a sort of loose affiliation with the NWO but with The Bulldog and The Anvil by his side, it's a foundation for the three of them to stand at the top of the WCW as its champions. And tonight, what better way to follow up a win over the tag champs than with a win against The Road Warriors?

MATCH #4

Tag Team Match

The Road Warriors (Animal & Hawk) vs British Bulldog & Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart (w/Bret “Hitman” Hart '98)

WINNERS: The Road Warriors (Animal & Hawk)

Method: Pinfall from Animal on Bulldog

Finish: Flying Shoulder Tackle

NEXT WEEK ON NITRO: Bret “The Hitman” Hart challenges Sting for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship!

MATCH #5

Non-Title

Finisher Match

Sting '99 vs Bret “Hitman” Hart '98

WINNER: Sting

Finish: Scorpion Death Drop

INTERVIEW: Kevin Nash hopes that Sting and Bret tear each other apart next week because after it's all said and done “Big Sexy” is going to pick the bones and once again strap that WCW World Heavyweight Championship around his waist. The NWO will take over once again.

MATCH #6

MAIN EVENT

Normal Match

Kevin Nash (w/Scott Hall) vs Randy Savage '92

WINNER: Randy Savage

Method: Pinfall

Finish: Diving Elbow Drop
