NOTE: This was originally supposed to be my launch event for 2K19. Since this Universe is currently takes place in 2017, I wanted to get this event out of the way as a “better late than never” type of thing. Canonically, perhaps this could be a Super Showdown-like event. The WWE usually did Backlash PPVs as a way to handle the fallout from 'Mania. This could be that type of event to handle the fallout from my 2K18 'Mania.

LAST SEASON: Natalya and Becky Lynch endured a long and bitter rivalry that saw Natalya defeat Becky at WrestleMania (2K18) via pinfall after a sit-out powerbomb.

TONIGHT: Becky (who recently picked up a victory over the now former champion, Natalya) looks to set the tone going forward this season by defeating her rival right here tonight!

LAST SEASON AT WRESTLEMANIA 33: The Rock defeated then-champ John Cena and Dean Ambrose in a Triple Threat Match. Fast forward to the current state of things and the WWE Championship is nowhere to be found across these three Superstars (as The Rock would go on to be defeated by Roman Reigns for the title).

NOW: The Rock looks for a repeat victory tonight as a way to cement his legacy. John Cena looks for a victory in order to still consider himself worthy of the torch passed onto him by The Rock in their one on one rematch at WrestleMania years ago. Dean Ambrose has the most to gain from a victory tonight as he now finds himself on the RAW brand struggling to even make it onto TV.

(NOTE: Dean is in an interesting spot similar to other Superstars where he is too under ranked to make it onto RAW but he's too over ranked to appear on minor shows like WWE Main Event. As a result, a handful of Superstars tend to vanish from time to time, waiting for an opportunity for a big and undeniable win to springboard them back to the spotlight.)

NEXT: On the road to his WWE Championship rematch against Roman Reigns at Money in the Bank two weeks from now, “The Viper” Randy Orton has another rematch on his hands tonight as he gets set to take on RAW's Finn Bálor and get his win back after he was defeated by Finn at last season's WrestleMania 33.

NEXT: In an interesting turn of circumstance, “The King of the Cruiserweights” of 205 Live, Neville, finds himself in a situation where he once again challenges “The Beast” Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Championship. However, since the premiere of the current season, Neville has been dealing with somewhat of a slump. Is this just what Neville needs to reestablish himself or will “The Beast” drive “The King” through a table?
