TWO WEEKS AGO AFTER RAW WENT OFF THE AIR: Seth Rollins was attacked by the WWE Intercontinental Champion, The Miz, and The Miztourage as they picked the bones following Bray Wyatt's victory over Seth. However, a steel chair-wielding Dean Ambrose ran down to make the save. When asked why Rollins was the subject of their attack, The Miz simply wanted to send a message to Dean Ambrose.

LAST WEEK ON RAW: Even after rescuing Rollins from The Miz and The Miztourage, Ambrose assured his former "brother" that Rollins was simply in the vicinity of his intended target (The Miz), nothing more. Dean's distrust of the former Authority member hasn't dimmed since Rollins disintegrated The Shield several years ago.

Looking to finally put the past in the past, Seth offered an apology to Ambrose and even a free shot with a steel chair, but Ambrose couldn't bring himself to do it, opting instead to toss the chair away. Miz and The Miztourage had no such qualms, however, surrounding the ring and attacking Rollins and Ambrose. However, The former Shield members would get the better of the situation.

SHOW OPENER PROMO

Dean Ambrose calls out the Intercontinental Champion The Miz. He doesn't care that he lost to The Miz at Great Balls of Fire, this is personal. If Miz is going to ambush anyone, it should be Dean and nobody else. The Miz is glad to be living rent-free in Dean's head. The Miz says that the Intercontinental Championship and his PPV win over Dean is enough for The Miz to do as he pleases and if he wants to knock off all of Dean's buddies then so be it.

Dean Ambrose vs The Miz

PROMO BATTLE WINNER: Dean Ambrose

Swann bested Kendrick in the promo battle but Kendrick would go on to defeat his opponent that night in impressive fashion.

TWO WEEKS AGO ON RAW: The Big Show recently took issue with how Big Cass backed out of a match with Enzo Amore because Cass felt he was above it. During a promo battle between Show and Cass, Cass dropped The Big Show with a sucker punch and bested him in a brawl then beat him in a promo battle the following week.

MIDDLE CARD PROMO

Enzo Amore thanks The Big Show for trying to help him out but Enzo still wants everything to do with Big Cass and promises never to stop until he gets Cass one on one in that ring. Cass tries to get it through Enzo's thick skull that he is seven feet higher than Enzo will ever be in that ring and can't believe why Enzo wants to sign his own death warrant so badly. Enzo retorts by saying the only death warrant that's being signed is Cass' and with his own blood. This prompts Cass to finally give in and attack Enzo, prompting a brawl that leaves Enzo laying.

LAST MONTH ON RAW: Goldust, “the keeper of the golden gates of The Miz”, picked up a huge victory against Finn Bálor and stomped away at Finn after the match. That victory made it so the Intercontinental Champion, The Miz, did not have to worry about Bálor as a possible challenger.
