Zack Ryder squandered his opportunity to once again break out and win the United States Championship that he once held long ago. Meanwhile SmackDown Live management squander Mojo's talents. Tonight, Mojo takes Ryder down for good!

INTERVIEW: Zack Ryder concedes his failure to win the United States Championship but responds to Rawley by reminding him that shortly afterwards he defeated the WWE Champion John Cena and the United States Champion Chris Jericho in a tag team match while Mojo was losing to Sin Cara. And tonight Ryder will leave Worcester as the clear cut better member of The Hype Bros!

The NEW WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos reflected on their title victories over The New Day last week on SmackDown Live as well as inside Hell in a Cell last month. However, Jimmy & Jey, seemingly sporting a new attitude after their incredible battles with The New Day, appeared to be attempting to constitute a truce between the two squads. An “Uce Truce” if you will. Claiming that The Usos and The New Day were the best two teams on SmackDown Live, they thought it was time to bury the hatchet and closed by telling The New Day that they're down for one more.

IN THE OFFICE OF THE SMACKDOWN LIVE GM: Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin, Breezango, The Ascension and The Colóns all demand a chance to stake their claim to a SmackDown Tag Team Championship opportunity and prove they were better than the perceived best. SmackDown Live General Manager Daniel Bryan announced that while The New Day will still have their championship rematch, these four teams would all have the chance to be the next challengers for the titles, in a Fatal 4-Way Match next!

THREE WEEKS AGO AT HELL IN A CELL: SmackDown Live Commissioner Shane McMahon defeated Kevin Owens inside Hell in a Cell but would receive a vicious assault from Owens and a masked Sami Zayn! Also on the show, John Cena defeated Randy Orton inside Hell in a Cell to retain the WWE Championship!

MIDDLE CARD PROMO

Kevin Owens welcomes his “best friend” and “guardian angel” out in front of the WWE Universe. Zayn delivered a passionate address to the WWE Universe, stating that KO helped him see the light when he squashed him last month. Zayn acknowledged his tumultuous past with KO as well as his friendship (from before WWE and then later as a part of Chris Jericho's New Millenia faction), but admitted to seeing that Owens was right when he suggested that Zayn was going about his career the wrong way.

Zayn noted that he's joined KO because of Owens’ stern words to Zayn combined with Shane-O-Mac's clear intentions to badly injure Owens last month at Hell in a Cell. Zayn thanked Owens for showing him the light, then the two embraced several times over, sung each other's praises and embraced some more.

NEXT: Shinsuke Nakamura and “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles take on Rusev and Aiden English! Nakamura and Rusev both hold one win a piece over each other as their inevitable rubber match approaches. Furthermore, Aiden English has been bragging about his big victories over Styles and Nakamura who are both no doubt looking forward to the opportunity to shut English's mouth tonight!
