LAST WEEK ON RAW: ANNOUNCEMENT: RAW GM Kurt Angle placed The Miz and The Bar in a TLC Match against The Shield at WWE TLC!

SHOW OPENER PROMO

The Shield delivered a proclamation that they'd pick up right where they left off at WWE TLC. Dean Ambrose reiterated that The Shield could take on any number of opponents and challenged their TLC foes to throw down on the spot.

The Miz, Braun Strowman and The Bar came to the stage to oblige, but Angle got between the two squads, reminding The Bar to back off tonight because of The Hardy Boyz challenging Ambrose and Rollins tonight for the RAW Tag Team Titles. As well as Strowman battling “The Big Dog” in a Steel Cage Match tonight.

Braun Strowman didn't have much to say on MizTV when it came to his Steel Cage Match against Roman Reigns tonight beyond the broad promise of destruction beyond compare. The Miz once again tried to use Dean Ambrose's words against him. Specifically, he made his case that, since Ambrose once again claimed The Shield could take on anyone on the spot then “The Monster Among Men” should be allowed to be in The Miz's corner this Sunday as a special guest enforcer to do as he sees fit. Strowman agrees to corner The Miz's team but only for the promise of destruction.

INTERVIEW: Maryse reminisces about her rivalry a few months ago with Sasha Banks, including the memory of Maryse's loss to Sasha in their Rubber Match earlier this year at Extreme Rules. Yet here they find themselves...with Maryse ranked higher than Sasha despite her precious Rubber Match win against Maryse. And after Maryse beats Sasha tonight, the gap between them will only increase as Maryse continues to rise and “The Boss” continues to fall!

He calls out the next Cruiserweight in his way, Akira Tozawa. Enzo very recently couldn't buy an ally with all the merchandise checks in the world. Now that Enzo is on the ascent it appears that “The Realest Guy in the Room” has a few boys to back him up.

When Tozawa got in Enzo's face, Ariya Daivari, Drew Gulak and Noam Dar jumped “The Stamina Monster” and laid a savage beatdown. This prompted Kalisto to appear on the scene in an attempt to even the odds!

THIS WEEK ON WWE 205 LIVE: Akira Tozawa will get a chance at payback when Kalisto and he battle Enzo Amore and Ariya Daivari on 205 Live! It appears the previously solitary Enzo Amore is no longer content to be easy pickings for anyone who tries to cross him.

INTERVIEW: The Bar complain that it should be them competing for the RAW Tag Team Championship and not The Hardy Boyz. They point out that the only reason Matt and Jeff are in this title match is because they won a match where they got the pinfall off of Cesaro's own finisher!

For his Rubber Match showdown against Finn Bálor, Bray Wyatt unleashed the spirit of Sister Abigail herself upon the WWE Universe. So, to prepare for the showdown, Bálor called his Demon into the light. Promising to channel the Irish heroes of old to combat the "monster" Wyatt had unleashed into the world. Bálor transformed into the Demon on the spot to show the WWE Universe, and Wyatt, what he was capable of. To cap off his display, he offered Wyatt’s own warning to him: “Run.”

NOTE: In lieu of the real-life instance where Bray appeared to dress up as Sister Abigail in a black veil, I take Wyatt “unleashing Sister Abigail” in this (my) Universe to mean that he unleashed her spirit from a jar or something and that spirit will strengthen him in his Rubber Match with Finn.
