As a result, the WWE Champ suggested that Rusev and Nakamura have a match but with Aiden English banned from ringside. The ensuing bout resulted in a victory for Nakamura!

LAST WEEK ON SMACKDOWN LIVE: The current #1 contender for the United States Championship Mojo Rawley told Randy Orton that he had to get past Jinder Mahal before “The Viper” approached Mojo about which one of them should be competing for the title. “The Apex Predator” went on to defeat “The Modern Day Maharajah” with an Avalanche RKO!

EARLIER TODAY: It was made official by WWE management that Xavier Woods would defend the United States Championship at WrestleMania against Mojo Rawley and Randy Orton in a Triple Threat Match!

MIDDLE CARD PROMO

Randy Orton calls out Mojo Rawley and tells him that he hopes that he watched Randy's match with Jinder very closely last week because Randy intends for Mojo to be the one that “The Viper” pins at WrestleMania after a similar RKO.

Mojo contends by saying that in this day in age a win against Randy Orton is tantamount to winning a championship. So Rawley intends to leave WrestleMania with all of the glory after pinning Randy and taking Xavier Woods' title!

LAST WEEK ON SMACKDOWN LIVE: Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn unleashed a brutal attack on SmackDown Commissioner Shane McMahon

PROMO: Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn seemed overjoyed at Daniel Bryan's news and claimed that their attack on Shane was a gift for Bryan. However, Bryan was disappointed, not only by Owens & Zayn's actions, but also for their lack of remorse. Because of this, the GM said that he had only one move to make: firing Owens and Zayn!

After expressing some regret, Bryan shook their hands and told them they could one day make it back to WWE, but a seething KO initiated an assault on Bryan. Owens and Zayn were relentless, but the GM ferociously fired back. However, Owens and Zayn overwhelmed Bryan, and the attack concluded with them decimating Bryan with an Apron Powerbomb.

KO and Sami were enraged, while medical personnel tended to the battered Bryan.
