TONIGHT ON RAW: The WWE Universal Champion, “The Beast Slayer” Seth Rollins announced that instead of competing on the same limited basis as Brock Lesnar, he wanted to defend his Universal Championship as a fighting champion and thus last night's RAW Royal Rumble winner, Kevin Owens has issued his challenge to Rollins for a championship match tonight in Montreal!

Earlier today it was announced that a deal was reached for Backlash this Sunday that saw Brock Lesnar challenge Roman Reigns to a match! Brock intends to conquer and victimize his way back to the Univeral Championship by making a statement at the expense of Seth Rollins' Shield “brother”, Roman Reigns. “The Big Dog” is eager with anticipation as he wants to see the look on Brock's face when he is further humbled by Roman Reigns!

A MOMENT OF BLISS: The RAW Women's Champion Alexa Bliss paints a picture of Nia Jax as a bully, describing an incident at Disney World where a dual turkey leg-wielding Nia made fun of Alexa's height. Bliss promises to beat Nia at Backlash and she'll do it for everyone who has a Nia in their lives.

IN THE BACKSTAGE AREA: Matt Hardy reads from the Light and the Darkness. Their story has always been told. The vessels known as Bray Wyatt and Matt Hardy have transcended time and space. Bray says their shadow will continue to consume everything.

EARLIER ON RAW: Sami Zayn was originally set to square off against Finn Bálor. However, a series of events led to the singles match turning into a six-man tag. Roman Reigns was confronted backstage earlier tonight by Jinder Mahal who warned Reigns that a loss to Jinder was in his near future. Zayn would add his name to the list of people predicted to beat Roman in the future.

NEXT: Jinder Mahal and Sami Zayn have the opportunity to make their future predictions come true as RAW GM Kurt Angle has made a Six-Man Tag Team Match between all involved!

IN THE BACKSTAGE AREA: Jinder worries that they could be down one man since Sami's best friend Kevin Owens isn't an available option but Sami assures Mahal that he's got local connections.

INTERVIEW: It's simple for Roman Reigns, at Backlash he will further humble Brock Lesnar and tonight he'll go through Jinder Mahal and Sami Zayn's team all by himself if he has to. Finn Bálor steps in to offer Roman his assistance since Finn's match with Sami tonight was changed. Kurt Angle then steps in and cryptically tells both that he has no intention of their team competing handicapped...

NEXT: Baron Corbin says that No Way Jose's fun-loving attitude doesn't equate to money like “The Lone Wolf” does and promises that nobody would be having fun after Corbin is finished with No Way Jose!
