Fresh off his brawl with Jeff Hardy last week, Randy Orton made it clear that he plans on taking out all the Superstars that the WWE Universe puts on a pedestal, with Jeff Hardy being his first target. The Apex Predator proclaimed that fans still opt to cheer for a Superstar like Jeff who took a 10-year absence from WWE even though Orton is a decorated champion who has been here all along.

Orton concluded by claiming that he was going to earn respect and that Hardy and the WWE Universe have made their choices, and those choices have earned Jeff Hardy future RKOs.

NEXT ON SMACKDOWN LIVE: Though they'll be opponents at SummerSlam in the SmackDown Women's Championship Triple Threat Match against Asuka, Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch teamed up to take on The IIconics. Prior to the contest, Peyton Royce and Billie Kay attempted to drive a wedge between Charlotte and Becky, claiming that Becky was forever stuck in Charlotte's shadow.

LAST WEEK ON SMACKDOWN LIVE: Samoa Joe accused Kane of being a lackluster WWE Champion who would rather pal around with Daniel Bryan over defending his title. Trying to gain the mental edge, Joe laid out his vision of how he'd rule over SmackDown Live with an iron fist as the WWE Champion and under that fist would be everyone that “The Monster” cares about, including Daniel Bryan.

As the ominous red lights bathed the arena, the WWE Champion Kane's towering figure stood in the center of the ring, his presence commanding attention. The crowd murmured in anticipation, knowing that when The Big Red Machine spoke, it was with the weight of infernal fury behind every word.

"Samoa Joe," Kane's voice boomed through the arena, a low rumble that seemed to emanate from the depths of hell itself, "you stand before me and dare to question my dominance? You speak of ruling with an iron fist, of laying waste to all who stand in your path."

A sinister chuckle escaped Kane's lips, his eyes glowing with intensity as he continued, "But you forget, Samoa Joe, that I am no mere mortal champion. I am The Devil's Favorite Demon, the embodiment of destruction and chaos. You underestimate the power that courses through my veins."

"At SummerSlam, you will face not just a champion, but a force of nature. You will feel the flames of hell consume you, Samoa Joe, and you will learn that no amount of bravado can protect you from the wrath of The Big Red Machine."

With a final, chilling stare into the camera, Kane's message was clear: underestimate him at your own peril, for in the inferno of the ring, there is no mercy.

IN THE BACKSTAGE AREA: As Kane delivers his message, Samoa Joe watches on,seeming none too concerned with Kane’s words, which ultimately bring him to laughter.

After adamantly declining, The Miz announced earlier in the day that he would indeed battle Daniel Bryan at SummerSlam. Miz ran Daniel's name through the mud, claiming that Daniel is beneath him and insinuating that Daniel needed this match against Miz far more than the other way around.

The A-Lister seemed primed to continue the onslaught of insults when suddenly, Daniel Bryan appeared out of nowhere, attacking The Miz! Bryan couldn't get his hands on The Miz the way he wanted, due to security trying to intervene, which caused Bryan to get struck with a vase by The Miz.

NEXT: Wanting to make a statement ahead of his WWE United States Title defense against Kofi Kingston at SummerSlam, Shinsuke Nakamura squares off against R-Truth after a strange altercation backstage.
