In order to get a one-up on the leader of the Cenation, Ziggler drops Cena with a low blow kick which sets off a brawl that the collegiate wrestler, Ziggler, surprisingly gets the better of!

Then The McMahon Family pulled the rug out from under him by naming the WWE Universe as the new Authority and leaving Corbin out to dry. As a result, Corbin feels that he should receive the opportunity to challenge Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship at the Royal Rumble.

Braun Strowman then comes out and informs Corbin that he has just learned that next week there will be a Fatal 4-Way Match to determine who will challenge Roman for the Universal Championship at the Royal Rumble and Corbin will compete in that match against Braun Strowman and two other Superstars TBA!

Corbin responds by knocking Strowman in the face with the microphone, sparking a brawl that Baron gets the better of!

THE WCW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP YEAR IN REVIEW: This season of Nitro began during WWE's Stone Cold Steve Austin's dominant reign as the champion in a reign that would last 232 days and amass ten successful title defenses driving back legendary challengers such as Ric Flair, Sting, Goldberg, Randy Savage, Kevin Nash and even Mr. McMahon.

The man who would finally take down “The Texas Rattlesnake” would be a man who has been evaded by world championships, Scott Hall. However, the clock would soon strike midnight for “The Bad Guy” as he would lose to “The Nature Boy” who would finally be the one to bring the WCW World Heavyweight Championship back to WCW. Flair then made sure to keep the title in WCW by driving back challenges from both members of The Outsiders! However, Flair would soon lose the title to the man who currently holds it, Sting '91.

LAST WEEK ON NITRO: The WCW World Tag Team Champions, The Outsiders arrived at Nitro last week with seven successful title defenses. However, they have never beaten The Hart Foundation. The Outsiders would close out Nitro with a victory against Bret Hart and Jim Neidhart to retain the WCW World Tag Team Championship!

TONIGHT ON NITRO: The WCW World Tag Team Champions, The Outsiders will find out who will be their next challengers as “Latino Heat” Eddie Guerrero and “The Master of the 619” Rey Mysterio face “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair '91 and “Rowdy” Roddy Piper in a #1 contender's match for the WCW World Tag Team Championship!

Ric Flair '88 hopes that Sting '91 was paying attention last week when he pinned Sting's partner, Dusty Rhodes after knocking him out with his patented, legendary knee drop. Randy Savage appears and tells Hogan that he should take his eyes off of the upcoming title match and focus on “The Macho Man” that stands before him. Kevin Nash couldn't take the nWo torch from Hogan but “Macho Man” is tired of always being considered number two after Hogan and wants a match with “The Hulkster” so he can beat him and take the torch as THE GUY.
