TONIGHT: Bret “The Hitman” Hart '98 challenges Sting '99 for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship!
INTERVIEW: The WCW World Tag Team Champion, Sting '99 and “The Total Package” Lex Luger have been champs for about four months now with four title defenses and they're ready for more. They took on The Outsiders and remained the champs while Hall and Nash haven't been mixing it up in the tag division ever since.
The WCW tag team division has some of the best and toughest of all time. Tag teams like The Nasty Boys, Harlem Heat, the fearsome duo of Haku and The Barbarian, the legendary Four Horsemen, The Road Warriors and even The British Bulldog and Jim Neidhart of The Hart Foundation. Sting and Luger want to defend the titles against every last one of them.
As for Sting's opponent tonight, Bret “The Hitman” Hart, Sting says that the Sharpshooter may have been the weapon that brought Bret success up north but here in WCW the Scorpion Death Lock reigns. The gold around Sting's waist and shoulder is proof of that. Tonight, they stand off with the Sharpshooter and the Scorpion Death Lock in their holsters and Sting plans to be the one left standing!

INTERVIEW: The WCW Hardcore Champion Disco Inferno brags about defending his hardcore title against “The Hardcore Legend” Terry Funk AND “The Franchise” Shane Douglas. Disco would henceforth like to have the name “Hardcore Franchise” attributed to him going forward.
ELSEWHERE BACKSTAGE: Fit Finlay and Bam Bam Bigelow have no love lost for each other but they agree that one of them has to take down Disco.
