Next month at NXT TakeOver: The End, NXT Champion, Samoa Joe defends the NXT Championship against Finn Balor in a Steel Cage Match. Also at NXT TakeOver: The End, Shinsuke Nakamura will take on Hideo Itami in what many are calling a strong style dream match. Tonight on NXT, Samoa Joe and Finn Balor will team up to take on Shinsuke Nakamura and Hideo Itami. Will either team be able to coexist?

Footage is shown of Bayley's loss to Peyton Royce last week. Is this the beginning of a losing streak for Bayley?

Blake & Murphy meet an angry and frustrated Alexa backstage shortly after her defeat to Bayley. She has apparently had enough of the duo and their lack of NXT tag team gold around their waists and storms off after telling them that she's going to show them how it's done when she wins the NXT Women's Championship! Blake and Murphy are left confused and shocked at Alexa's apparent resignation from their alliance.

On behalf of The Authors of Pain, Paul Ellering has challenged the winners of the TM-61/Revival match to a match at NXT TakeOver: The End. Either The Authors of Pain will gain retribution over TM-61 or The Revival will be cast down.

It's official, TM-61 will face The Authors of Pain in a rematch at NXT TakeOver: The End. Can the explosive TM-61 capture lightning in a bottle with two straight victories over The Authors of Pain? Or will The Authors of Pain receive the brutal retribution that they have been hungrily seeking?

Peyton Royce comes out with Billie Kay to brag and boast about how she defeated a former NXT Women's Champion in Bayley last week. Peyton calls the victory a sign of greater things to come and says that Asuka is lucky that she isn't facing Peyton at NXT TakeOver: The End because Royce would definitely defeat Asuka and take the NXT Championship. Peyton is interrupted by an Ember Moon vignette which cryptically implies that Peyton Royce will be dealing with Ember Moon at NXT TakeOver: The End. NXT General Manager, William Regal later confirms that Peyton and Ember will face off at NXT TakeOver: The End.
