Last week on Nitro: Goldberg '98 defeated Ric Flair '91 to become the NEW WCW World Heavyweight Champion, thus ending Flair's impressive seven-month long reign as champion.

Middle Card Promo

WCW World Heavyweight Champion Goldberg '98 celebrates and talks about his WCW World Heavyweight Championship victory last week and how he's gone through a lot to get back to the top. With him knocking down one of the pillars of WCW, his only question is who's next.

The WCW Hardcore Champion Sabu suddenly comes out and gets in Goldberg's face. Sabu simply brings up how much of a rough time Goldberg had competing in the hardcore division and wonders how the hardcore champ could do against Goldberg as the world champ. Perhaps now is the time for Sabu to make a world title challenge.

Goldberg likens his time in the hardcore division to an intensive training camp. Goldberg surmises that if it weren't for those times then he wouldn't be back where he is now and he wants nothing more than to show Sabu firsthand.

Post-Match: Hennig makes his exit but stops short at the ramp. He turns around and grabs a steel chair from under the ring before wailing away on Luger with it. The nWo has made a loud statement tonight by seemingly taking out one of WCW's top stars.
