The WCW World Heavyweight Champion Goldberg '98 talks about defeating the WCW Legend Sting '99 two weeks ago at Starrcade and thanks him for the tough fight that he gave him and the WCW Universe. Switching gears, Goldberg says that in two weeks on Nitro he will be defending the WCW World Heavyweight Championship against the winner of tonight's main event, Sting '99 or the WCW United States Champion Bret “The Hitman” Hart '98.

Goldberg adds that he will be competing in two matches on that edition of Nitro in two weeks. The other bout he'll be competing in is a match against Bret Hart for the WCW United States Championship! WCW Officials feel that he is the best choice to face “The Hitman”. Goldberg likes the idea of holding both WCW's world title and WCW's major singles title. With two titles around his shoulders, Goldberg will truly be the man to beat in WCW!

Bret Hart scoffs at this notion. While Goldberg did defeat Sting '99, “The Excellence of Execution” defeated a WCW Legend in his own right in Diamond Dallas Page '98. With this in mind, Bret feels that he is just as good a champion as Goldberg if not better.
