WWE SOCIAL MEDIA: Jinder Mahal is announced as the newest member of the SmackDown Live roster! He will go one on one with “The Viper” Randy Orton tonight in a rematch of last year's WrestleMania!

TONIGHT ON SMACKDOWN LIVE: The Superstar-Shake Up continues!

SHOW OPENER PROMO

The WWE United States Champion and the COO of WWE, Triple H, announces that the Superstar Shake-up has brought the WWE United States Championship to SmackDown Live and as a result he will also appear on the blue brand. He adds that if anybody from team blue in the back wants an opportunity at his United States Championship then they'll have to get through his gatekeeper, Kevin Owens!

IN THE OFFICE OF THE SMACKDOWN LIVE GENERAL MANAGER: SmackDown Live GM Daniel Bryan meets with Kevin Owens who request to be recognized as “The Face of America” despite Triple H being the reigning United States Champion.

Nevertheless, Owens is the gatekeeper for Triple H and the United States Championship and he's here to find out who he's fighting tonight. Bryan informs him that SmackDown Live is the land of opportunity and as such Kevin Owens will have to face “The Big Red Machine” Kane. Owens exclaims confidently before Bryan continues on by also naming Roman Reigns which immediately sends Owens into an outrage.

That is not all because Owens will also have to contend with a new addition to SmackDown Live tonight thanks to the Superstar Shake-up, Chris Jericho! It will be a Fatal Four-Way Match as it is beginning to appear that the gatekeeper won't be keeping gates for too long after tonight.

OUTSIDE OF THE OFFICE: Owens runs into Sami Zayn who has also arrived on SmackDown Live via the Superstar Shake-up. He sarcastically tells Kevin “tough break, buddy” and wishes him well, adding salt to Kevin's wound.

THIS SUNDAY AT WWE LIVE IN KANSAS CITY, MO: The WWE Champion The Rock will defend the WWE Championship against John Cena and rising star Apollo Crews in a Triple Threat Match!

COMING UP NEXT: The WWE Champion The Rock teams up with his challenger this Sunday, John Cena, in an extremely rare tag team pairing!

LAST WEEK ON SMACKDOWN LIVE: Becky Lynch defeated the SmackDown Women's Champion Natalya via count out. As a result, Natalya retained the SmackDown Women's Championship.

MIDDLE CARD PROMO

Becky Lynch petitions that championships should change hands as a result of a count out because instead of pinning Nattie one, two, three, Becky laid Nattie out for 10 whole seconds. If that doesn't scream 'decisive victory' then she doesn't know what does.

This has given Becky an idea and she challenges Natalya to a Last Woman Standing Match for the SmackDown Women's Championship this Sunday at the WWE Live event in Kansas City, MO! Natalya accepts and tells Becky to be careful of what she wishes for because Becky is going to be the one losing as a result of a ten count!

THIS PAST MONDAY NIGHT ON RAW: Jinder Mahal was fueled by rage after being eliminated in the André The Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania by Goldberg as well as on RAW the week before with the same exact results. Mahal had been going back and forth with Finn Bálor as of late and defeated Bálor in what would be Jinder's final match on RAW.

LAST YEAR AT WRESTLEMANIA: “The Viper” Randy Orton defeated Jinder Mahal to become the new WWE United States Champion.

The new addition to the SmackDown Live women's division is Charlotte Flair who accepts Naomi's challenge and put the entire division on notice that she is here to reign as the SmackDown Women's Champion.
