Still employed on SmackDown Live, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn welcomes one and all to “The Sami and Kevin Show” and describe SmackDown Live Commissioner Shane McMahon's vendetta against them to be just another in a long line of McMahon vendettas over the years. They proceeded to gloat over KO surviving a No Disqualification Match against Shane's “vessel of destruction” Randy Orton last week, as Zayn interfered by laying out Orton with a Blue Thunder Bomb mid-match.

The outspoken pair were interrupted by AJ Styles who was asked by Shane to help him shut the pair up before they drive the WWE Universe insane. Since Styles doesn't have a match at WWE Clash of Champions, Shane-O-Mac is paying AJ back the favor by giving him a tag match against KO and Sami at the PPV with any partner of AJ's choosing.

As far as SmackDown Live tonight in Worcester, MA is concerned, “The Phenomenal: AJ Styles will go one-on-one with Sami Zayn!

Bryan says that at Clash of Champions Becky Lynch will have her championship rematch against the SmackDown Women's Champion Natalya. Not only are all Superstars banned from ringside but fines and suspensions will be doled out if anyone interferes. Furthermore, the SmackDown Women's Championship Match will be a No Exiting (the ring) Match!

IN THE BACKSTAGE AREA: The WWE United States Champion Chris Jericho is speaking to Zack Ryder about how SmackDown Live is the land of opportunity and not the land of Baron Corbin. So Jericho gives Ryder an opportunity to face him in a match tonight where Zack just may walk out with a title opportunity if he impresses.

Jinder Mahal talks about how this was supposed to be his year, the year where he would be crowned as WWE Champion but all that he's had to show for is him being constantly haunted by The Undertaker on SmackDown Live as well as during Jinder's off-time with The Dead Man's infamous mind games. So if this is how Jinder's 2017 is going to look like then he'd going to end it in a grand way. “The Modern Day Maharajah” may not yet have the WWE Championship around his waist but he will soon claim dominance over The Dead Man. Jinder calls out The Undertaker and challenges him to a match at Clash of Champions!

At that point, SmackDown Live GM Daniel Bryan talks to Corbin about self-fulfilling prophecies because as a result of Baron's actions, the United States Championship match at Clash of Champions will now be a Triple Threat Match!
