LAST WEEK ON SMACKDOWN LIVE: Daniel Bryan defeated AJ Styles to retain the WWE Championship! After the match and after SmackDown LIVE went off the air, Bryan shocked the world by dropping AJ to the mat with a vicious low blow!

TWO NIGHTS AGO AT SURVIVOR SERIES: Although RAW started off hot with three victories in a row, Team SmackDown LIVE would soon turn things around. The WWE Champion Daniel Bryan of SmackDown LIVE defeated RAW's Universal Champion Roman Reigns! The SmackDown Women's Champion Charlotte Flair defeated the RAW Women's Champion Mickie James and Team SmackDown LIVE beat Team RAW in the Traditional Survivor Series Eight-Man Tag Team Elimination Match!

TONIGHT ON SMACKDOWN LIVE: It's a night dedicated to the power of positivity as The New Day celebrate their four-year birthday by taking on the SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Bar. If The New Day can beat The Bar then they will receive an opportunity at The Bar's SmackDown Tag Team Championship at WWE TLC!

WWE Champion Daniel Bryan famously said “Fight for your dreams, and they will fight for you” several months ago when he emotionally announced that he had been cleared to return to in-ring competition. However, that mantra has now been completely flipped on its head, with Bryan declaring that his shocking attitude change last week was due to his dreams.

Bryan reveals that his dream to retain the WWE Title, as well as his intent to send a message to everyone in the locker room that has put a target on his back. is what compelled him to kick AJ Styles below the belt. With the WWE Universe in complete shock, he then declares the old Daniel Bryan and The “Yes!” Movement dead. All that's left now is the WWE Champion and a man who would never again give up on his dreams.

INTERVIEW: The Bar realize that usually in an occasion such as a birthday party, a set of tag team champions would just give the birthday boys an opportunity at their titles but according to The Bar those people are losers. And if The New Day want an opportunity at their gold, they're going to have to earn it. Birthday or not.

NEXT: The Usos take on The Big Show in a Handicap Match where if The Usos win then they will receive an opportunity at The Bar's SmackDown Tag Team Championship at WWE TLC! The Big Show assures The Bar that he's got The Usos covered.

ANNOUNCEMENT: SmackDown LIVE GM Paige says that Daniel Bryan made things personal with AJ Styles last week. However, it became clear that he's there to conjure all of Hardy's prior demons, stating that Jeff's problems are always lurking behind him, but he callously promises to lend a helping hand with a one-step program that's quick – but definitely not painless—if Jeff ever again feels himself becoming powerless.

An empowered Jeff challenges Joe to a fight on the spot, but “The Samoan Submission Machine” has none of it and walks away while Hardy seems unphased by the outspoken Samoan's harsh words. However, the moment Jeff lays down his guard Samoa Joe rushes in to attack which sets off a brawl that Joe gets the better of!
