However, with Bret's main focus being The Hart Foundation, he challenges The Rock 'N' Sock Connection for the World Tag Team Championship '97-'02 next week!

The Rock has no problem accepting Bret's challenge for next week but thinks that Bret is still sore from losing to The Rock and is using this challenge as an opportunity to get back in the ring with The Rock while saving face. “The Great One” warns “The Hitman” that he is once again setting himself up for disappointment.

The Rock then floors Bret with a clothesline before “The Hitman” immediately recovers and fights back in a brawl that he gets the better of!

Much like Stone Cold Steve Austin had the WCW World Heavyweight Championship in a chokehold last year, Stone Cold points out how Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat has been doing the same with the Intercontinental Championship this past year. However, with Austin never having held the WWE Legends brand version of the Intercontinental Championship '94, Austin claims that Steamboat's time as champ is about to come to an end.

Ricky Steamboat says that they will certainly find out who was the better champion when they face off next week on SmackDown '00 before he takes Austin to a trip down memory lane: WCW '92, when “The Dragon” defeated the “Dragon Slayer” Steve Austin to win the WCW United States Championship. Austin responds to this story by launching an attack on Steamboat, prompting a brawl that Austin gets the better of!
