MR. McMAHON ANNOUNCEMENT: After Sting's successful WCW United States Title defense against WWE's Kurt Angle '01 last week on Nitro, Mr. McMahon has agreed to his end of the deal and has halted his initiative of injecting WWE Legends and Superstars onto Nitro although not without leaving a caveat.

As recently instituted on the WWE main roster, the wild card rule has come to the WWE Legends brand and WCW where each week four WWE Legends can appear on WCW Nitro and vice versa. As a result, the chairman has removed the nWo's Big Bubba Rogers and Jim Neidhart '98 from the WCW roster while allowing Dusty Rhodes and Randy Savage to remain on dual WWE/WCW contracts due to a preexisting contract from a few seasons ago.

TONIGHT ON WCW MONDAY NITRO IN PONTIAC, MI: Nitro looks to put on two blockbuster bouts akin to the one where the irresistible force once body-slammed the immovable object as Goldberg challenger “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair '88 to a rematch for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship!
