My Take: Ring of Honor Wrestling (December 17, 2017)

Ring of Honor Wrestling
Lakeland, FL
RP Funding Center

Match #1
Tag Team Match
The Addiction (Christopher Daniels & Frankie Kazarian) vs Coast 2 Coast (Leon St. Giovanni & Shaheem Ali)
Winners: The Addiction

My Take: The Addiction win with the Best Meltzer Ever. After the match, Leon St. Giovanni grabs the mic and talks about how Shaheem Ali and him have been in ROH for a year with little accomplishments. Ali stipulates that if they lose their next match then they should disband.

Match #2
Normal Match
Shane Taylor vs Eli Isom
Winner by referee stoppage: Shane Taylor

My Take: I love how you can take a simple, everyday basic pro wrestling strike like a punch and build it up like a devastating finisher. The best things in wrestling are often simple.

Promo
w/The Young Bucks
The Young Bucks talk about Beretta and Chuckie T being Best Friends but The Bucks have brought their best friend as well. IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion, The Villain Marty Scurll enters the frame all-smiles as The Bucks awkwardly inform Marty that they weren't referring to him. Scurll leaves and Kenny Omega rises up from behind them like The Terminator and talks about how ROH has opened up their checkbooks to bring in the most sought after professional in all of the sports entertainment industry.

Coleman's Pulpit
w/Brandi Rhodes
Brandi talks about how she's going to be on the upcoming season of WAGS Atlanta, how she was a hard-working figure skater before her pro wrestling career and how she's still a rookie inside of the wrestling ring. I love these segments as Caprice's charisma shines through the TV screen. Usually on segments like these the host is a heel that starts off complimentary before completely trashing his guest in favor of himself. Coleman starts these interviews this way and does turn heel on his guests but always backs down when things start to get heated negating the tropey confrontation that usually builds to a match.

Match #3
ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championshios
Six-Man Tag Team Match
The Elite (Kenny Omega, Nick & Matt Jackson)(c) vs Best Friends (Beretta & Chuckie T) & Rocky Romero
Winners: The Elite

My Take: The Bucks tap Romero out to the Cease and Desist Sharpshooter/Crossface. This was a great match that would be worth catching.
