My WWE 2K18 Results: WWE RAW (July.Week 3)

WWE RAW
July, Week 3, Year 1
Kansas City, MO

Last week on Monday Night RAW, Chris Jericho defeated Randy Orton in a non-title match when afterwards Jericho would continue to attack Orton, intent on hurting and disrespecting him. Since then, “The Viper” expressed his refusal to wait until WWE Battleground to face Chris Jericho and has demanded a match with him right here tonight in Kansas City, Missouri. Randy adds that if he doesn't get his match then he will simply hunt down Jericho and any of his cronies, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn and take them all out of the equation and then there won't be any match at Battleground. Stephanie relents and in the interest of order and a healthy backstage environment, “The Apex Predator”, ”The Viper” Randy Orton will face Chris Jericho in a rematch right here tonight on RAW!

Footage is shown of Mark Henry approaching Jack Swagger and letting him know that he supports him on his quest to take down Brock Lesnar and sow the WWE Universe what he's made of. Lesnar and Paul Heyman catch wind of this and develop a desire to show Swagger and Henry what “The Beast” is made of tonight.

Match #1

Brock Lesnar (w/Paul Heyman) vs Mark Henry (w/Jack Swagger)
Winner by pinfall: Brock Lesnar (F5)(Squash)

The WWE Women's Champion Charlotte is interviewed and asked why she called out Sasha Banks last week on SmackDown after already having defeated Banks at WWE Money in the Bank. Charlotte says that things may have seemed squashed after Money in the Banks but Sasha hasn't stopped running her mouth behind her back, backstage and on social media. Charlotte wants to officially challenge Sasha Banks to join the WWE Women's Championship match at Battleground. Not because Sasha deserves it but because Charlotte wants to be the reason that Sasha fails over and over again. So if “The Boss” is content on continuous failure then she can have all of the championship matches that she desires.

Footage is shown of the promo battle between the WWE Intercontinental Champion Alberto Del Rio and Apollo Crews last week on SmackDown that saw Del Rio lay out Apollo with a cheap shot. Having a difficult time waiting to get his hands on Alberto at Battleground, Apollo has issued a challenge to any League of Nations members.

Sheamus (w/Alberto Del Rio, Rusev & Lana) vs Apollo Crews
Winner by pinfall: Sheamus (Brogue Kick)

Match #3

AJ Styles comes out and greets the WWE Universe here in Kansas City. He is then immediately and unexpectedly interrupted by Apollo Crews. Everyone wonders what Apollo's intentions are as a promo battle occurs. Apollo just thinks that AJ is the best in the world and simply wants a match against him. Styles surmises that Apollo is looking to make a fast but impactful statement by striking out against a former WWE Champion like AJ. Styles says that if this is the case then it backfire on Apollo because AJ refuses to let this slide and after everything is said and done Apollo won't just have the loss from Sheamus tonight.

Middle Card Promo
With championship matches against AJ Styles and Dean Ambrose looming on the horizon, the WWE Champion Roman Reigns comes out and says that there's another Superstar who has definitely caught his attention. This certain Superstar wants to go after the biggest dog in the yard and that big dog is Roman Reigns. Roman welcomes this Superstar to try and come at the big dog but warns that he's going to get bit. Roman calls out Braun Strowman and a promo battle takes place that Strowman wins to end the segment. Has Roman Reigns just awakened a monster?

Match #4
Normal Match
Nikki Bella (w/Brie Bella) vs Maryse
Pre-Match: Both shake hands.
Winner by pinfall: Maryse (French Kiss DDT)

Middle Card Promo
The Miz welcomes everybody to the most must-see talk show in WWE history, MizTV. Miz welcomes out his opponent at WWE Battleground, John Cena and replays the footage of the great match that the two Superstars had two weeks ago on RAW that Miz won with the Skull Crushing Finale. Miz relishes the victory because everyone had counted him out the second the bell rang but he proved what he has always said and that is The Miz is AWESOME. Miz poses the question to Cena: After all of the talking that has transpired, what would happen to John Cena if he were to lose to The Miz twice in a row? Cena rebuts by asking what would happen to Miz and his self-perceived momentum if he were to lose at Battleground? Better yet, what would happen if Miz were to lose to Cena twice in a row? Perhaps they can find out on the RAW after Battleground if they both find themselves still on the same brand.

Match #5
