August, Week 2, Year 1
New York, NY
Last
week, Bret “Hitman” Hart '97 delivered payback against WWE
Champion Shawn Michaels '97 with an attack of his own. Tonight, Shawn
Michaels has challenged “The Hitman” to non-title competition
because Michaels feels that Bret doesn't deserve it because he's no
longer on his level. In reality, HBK is looking for some payback of
his own after last week.
Last
week, Dusty Rhodes delivered payback against Jake Roberts with an
attack of his own, angered by his rival's actions from two weeks ago
where the two Superstars teamed up in a match that led to Roberts
quickly turning on Dusty and leaving him to fend for himself in the
match.
It
is announced that “The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes will meet
Jake “The Snake” Roberts at SummerSlam as both Superstars look to
settle the score.

Irwin
R. Schyster “IRS” comes out and talks about how Money,
Incorporated have finally done away with The Ultimate Warrior or as
they like to call him, “The Ultimate Loser”. First “The Million
Dollar Man” also known as the Million Dollar Champion Ted DiBiase
put him down and then The IRS finished him off for good. Ted himself
would be here basking in the glory of taking out one of the all time
greatest WWE Superstars but he's away at a beautiful beach somewhere
enjoying the fruits of his labor but when “The Million Dollar Man”
comes back, that WWE locker room can rest assured that they better
watch their backs!
Footage
is shown of the new WWE Intercontinental Champion Sgt. Slaughter last
week addressing his actions of realigning himself with Col. Mustafa
and how he's not anti-American but a defender of the flag that must
sometimes make deals with those who can aid the powerful become even
more powerful.

Rick
“The Model” Martel comes out to the ring to talk about how the
New Yorkers in the audience all stink and how they all desperately
need a spray of his “Arrogance”. He talks about his greatness and
promises everyone that they're going to be seeing a lot more of “The
Model”.
Randy
Savage was attacked from behind after his match last week. The
Undertaker had to resort to using a distraction with his entrance
music, afraid of facing his rival head-on.
The
“Macho Man” and The Undertaker have been at war with each other
for several months now, giving each other everything that they have
whenever they meet and increasing the level of intensity match after
match. It has been announced that at SummerSlam, Savage will face off
against The Undertaker. These two will look to finally finish their
rival off for good.

Mr.
Perfect comes out and calls out Sting '91 to the ring. Mr. Perfect is
disgusted at this guy who's come from “down south” to try to take
out Perfect's good friend “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair, the World
Heavyweight Championship of “that place down south”. Perfect says
that Sting can't even lace up his boots and it should be Perfect
competing at SummerSlam instead of Sting. Sting challenges Perfect to
a match and wages that if Perfect can beat him in a match next week
then Perfect can have his spot at SummerSlam.

Shawn
Michaels '97 vs Bret “Hitman” Hart '97
Pre-Match:
Bret awaits Shawn in the ring who stops at the end of the ramp to
jawjack Hart who takes none of it and quickly exits the ring to
attack HBK. Shawn takes this opportunity to ram Bret kidney-first
into the ring apron as a brawl breaks loose before eventually moving
into the ring where the match officially begins.
Winner
by submission: Shawn Michaels '97 (Sharpshooter!)(*** ½ Great)
A
surprising development tonight, Shawn Michaels has just submitted
Bret Hart with the Sharpshooter! It seems as though Michaels'
pre-match attack injured Bret's back to the point where he had to tap
out to preserve his health enough to successfully challenge for the
WWE Championship at SummerSlam.
