Tonight on SmackDown Live in Bakersfield, CA: The former SmackDown Tag Team Champions, American Apha, Challenge the NEW SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos in a Royal Rumble Rematch. Can the dominant former tag team champs regain the championships? Or will The Usos exhibit just why they are the best tag team in the WWE?

Last week on SmackDown Live: “The Viper” Randy Orton defeated Kalisto after nailing him with an Avalanche RKO to retain the WWE Intercontinental Championship.

WWE Intercontinental Champion “The Viper” Randy Orton and The Miz kick off SmackDown Live with a promo battle that ends with the two Superstars chomping at the bit to best each other.

This past Sunday at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View: Baron Corbin defeated AJ Styles and thus defeated “The Phenomenal One” in their rivalry. “The Lone Wolf” would put an exclamation mark by eliminated Styles in the Royal Rumble match!

This past Sunday at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View: John Cena won the WWE Championship! Dean Ambrose will be sure to put the new champion to the test with a title rematch soon.

Middle Card Promo

The NEW WWE Champion John Cena is interrupted by Dean Ambrose. A promo battle takes place with Cena getting the last word in before he is attacked by Ambrose who leaves Cena laying. Is this a ploy by “The Lunatic Fringe” to goad the champ into another match?

This past Sunday at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View: Natalya defeated Becky Lynch in their SmackDown Women's Championship rematch to successfully retain the championship and turn Becky away.

Middle Card Promo

Former SmackDown Women's Champion Becky Lynch asks the WWE Universe if they want to see another barn burning SmackDown Women's Championship match and the react positively. She calls out Natalya who comes out as their promo battle kicks off.

Natalya says that Becky is mistaken if she thinks that Natalya is going to decline her challenge and adds that she knows that declining her would make Natalya seem weak and scared. The SmackDown Women's Champion then talks about how he she feels that it's time that Becky's career comes to an end before it gets any further. Becky strikes Natalya, prompting a brawl. Natalya, however, comes out on top.

Promo Battle Result: Draw/No Contest

Two weeks ago on SmackDown Live: Brie Bella defeated Carmella.

Last week on SmackDown Live: An angry Carmella demanded a rematch against Brie Bella who readily accepted before Carmella amended that she meant for their rematch to take place the following week and on that night.

This past Sunday at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View: Lita and The Bella Twins defeated Alexa Bliss, Carmella and Maryse when Nikki Bella dispatched Carmella.

Earlier tonight: Brie Bella was informed that Carmella would not be here tonight for their scheduled rematch. When reached for comment Carmella stated that Bakersfield, California doesn't deserve to see Carmella put her body on the line. She also added that she was nursing an injury she suffered at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View at the hands of Nikki Bella and insists that she wants to be at 100% when she faces Brie in their rematch.

Up next: Two former members of Team BAD collide as Naomi takes on Tamina hot off of her Royal Rumble victory over Mickie James last Sunday!

Before John Cena could address his win from his WWE Championship rematch, Dean Ambrose interrupted with promises to take the title back in their last rematch. Their heated argument quickly spiraled out of control into a brawl!
