NOTE FROM PAUL HEYMAN: Neville has not beaten “The Beast” Brock Lesnar since their Table Match at WrestleMania. Furthermore, Neville has not pinned “The Beast” since earlier that March. Since then, Brock has beaten Neville every step of the way. So Paul cannot understand why RAW management insists on matching Paul's client against “The Man That Victory Forgot”.

Heyman reveals that Neville knows this and that nugget of information is the reason for the upcoming Universal Championship announcement...

ANNOUNCEMENT: The RAW General Manager Mick Foley announces that at WWE Extreme Rules the WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar will take on Neville for the Universal Championship. Since Neville has not won a #1 contender's match nor has defeated the Universal Champion in non-title competition, Neville has put his RAW contract on the line. If Lesnar defeats Neville at Extreme Rules, Neville will no longer be a part of the Monday Night RAW roster.

FURTHERMORE: Foley also announces that there will be an Extreme Rules Fatal 4-Way Match to determine the next challenger for the WWE Universal Championship, featuring “The Architect” Seth Rollins, “The Samoan Submission Machine” Samoa Joe, “The Monster Among Men” Braun Strowman and “The Phenom” himself, The Undertaker!

TONIGHT ON RAW: Foley announces that the Superstars featured in that upcoming Fatal 4-Way Match will split off and compete in singles matches tonight.

After losing to Seth Rollins at WWE Payback and again on RAW last week, “The Samoan Submission Machine” Samoa Joe is looking forward to facing off against Seth again tonight and even challenges “The Architect” to agree to have the match be under Extreme Rules tonight, just one week away from their Extreme Rules Fatal 4-Way. Rollins accepts and asks what Joe is planning on saying after Rollins beats him for a third straight time tonight. This sets Joe off as he lays out Seth with a vicious low blow kick.

LAST WEEK ON RAW: After pinning Sasha Banks in an 8-Woman Tag Team Match the prior week, Maryse silenced her doubters by defeating Sasha in a one on one contest.

NEXT: Sasha Banks challenged Maryse to a rematch but Maryse declines, saying that Sasha is old news now and Maryse only concerns herself with relevant Superstars now. RAW General Manager Mick Foley intervened and came to terms with Maryse and reached a deal. If “The Boss” can win her match tonight then she will get a rematch against Maryse.

NEXT: The WWE Intercontinental Champion Bray Wyatt recites Bobby Roode's (the #1 contender for the Intercontinental Championship) promo from last week and finds it exceedingly humorous. So humorous that he doesn't want to wait for Extreme Rules to grace Roode with a championship opportunity, he wants it to take place tonight!

LAST WEEK ON RAW: Nia Jax met with co-acting General Manager for the evening, The Miz, and agreed to Nia challenging Paige to a RAW Women's Championship rematch at Extreme Rules.

MIDDLE CARD PROMO

The RAW Women's Champion Paige doesn't mind Nia's politicking to the co-acting GM last week and is actually looking forward to taking on Nia one more time because Paige will look that much better when she takes down “The Irresistible Force” one more time. Paige then says that she mentioned that she would talk to the other co-acting GM later that night and she did just that. Since Paige is the champ then the champ should have a champion's advantage. So the co-acting GM Dean Ambrose agreed to make the RAW Women's Title match an Extreme Rules Match.

Nia Jax interrupts and can't believe that Paige would go behind her back like that and mocked Paige for needing an Extreme Rules Match as help to try and take down Nia. “The Irresistible Force” says that she will run right through Paige and leave Extreme Rules as the NEW RAW Women's Champion, a dominant RAW Women's Champion.

TJP then starts making fun of Gallagher's moveset and tells him that it's going to be the TJP Clutch that brings the Cruiserweight Championship around the waist of TJP.

IN THE BACKSTAGE AREA: Titus O'Neil is continuing on with his sales pitch to Apollo Crews, despite Apollo already linking up with The Titus Brand. Titus runs into his former tag team partner Darren Young who is flanked by his life coach, Bob Backlund who is giving him life advice. Titus and Backlund start getting into it, in a battle to look better in front of their protégés. They challenge each other to a match when Backlund is pulled back by Darren Young who wants to show his life coach what he's got by being the one to take on his former tag team partner.
