My WWE 2K18 Results: WWE Clash of Champions (September.Week 4)

WWE Clash of Champions
September, Week 4, Year 1
Indianapolis, IN

Two weeks ago on RAW, Darren Young suffered a (minor) injury in a match against Braun Strowman. In Darren Young's absence the following week on RAW, his life coach and former WWE Champion Bob Backlund would step up to issue a challenge to “The Monster” but ultimately suffered the same fate as his student. Tonight, Darren Young has returned and has challenged Braun Strowman.

Match #1
Rematch
Normal Match
Braun Strowman vs Darren Young
Winner by pinfall: Braun Strowman (Running Powerslam)

Footage is shown of the technical wizard and submission master Zack Sabre Jr. winning the inaugural WWE Cruiserweight Classic and becoming the inaugural WWE Cruiserweight Champion.

The cruiserweights would debut on RAW two weeks ago in a match that saw Drew Gulak come out victorious by using his Gu-Lock submission hold. Gulak has since spoken out that the notion of Zack Sabre Jr. being superior to him in the art of submission wrestling is completely and utterly laughable. Drew claims to be the real technical wizard of the cruiserweight division and looks to prove as such tonight at Clash of Champions.

Match #2
WWE Cruiserweight Championship
Normal Match
Zack Sabre Jr. (c) vs Drew Gulak
Winner by submission and NEW WWE Cruiserweight Champion: Drew Gulak! (Gu-Lock)(** Average)
Post-Match: Gulak decides against leaving in favor of stomping away at the former champion to make a statement.

Ever since their defeat at SummerSlam to The Shield, The Club have been blindsiding the WWE Tag Team Champions with endless attacks. Attacks that seem to be working as The Shield are now 0-3 in non-title competition ever since SummerSlam and look to be ripe for the picking. Will The Club capitalize and be the ones to finally unseat The Shield from their five month reign? Or will The Shield overcome their disadvantages and go on to reign as six-month-long WWE Tag Team Champs?

Match #3
WWE Tag Team Championship
Rivalry Match
Tag Team Match
The Shield (Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns)(c) vs The Club (Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows)
Winners and WWE Tag Team Champions: The Club (*** Amazing)

Last month at WWE SummerSlam, Charlotte defeated Sasha Banks to retain the RAW Women's Championship and settle their rivalry once and for all.

The following night on RAW, fellow WWE Four Horsewoman Bayley would make her WWE main roster debut on RAW in impressive fashion with a big win over Alicia Fox. The momentum would keep on rolling for “The Hugger” the following week on RAW where she went on to defeat Nia Jax to become the #1 contender for Charlotte's RAW Women's Championship thus making it Charlotte versus Bayley at Clash of Champions. Friend versus friend, horsewoman versus horsewoman.

Match #4
RAW Women's Championship
Normal Match
Charlotte (c)(w/Ric Flair & Dana Brooke) vs Bayley
Winner by pinfall and STILL RAW Women's Champion: Charlotte (Natural Selection)

Jinder Mahal spoke on RAW about his outrage over The Rock refusing a supporting role alongside Jinder in a Bollywood film as The Rock thought Mahal was joking. Mahal would attack The Rock backstage in a brawl that would backfire on Jinder after The Rock left him laying. Tonight, Jinder will take on The Rock and is looking to prove his superiority over “The Great One” and prove that it's no longer The Rock's time, it's Jinder's time.

Match #5
Normal Match
Jinder Mahal vs The Rock
Winner by pinfall: The Rock (People's Elbow)

Last week on RAW, RAW Commissioner Stephanie McMahon announced that despite being drafted to SmackDown Live in the WWE Draft, due to contractual developments John Cena is currently a free agent that will be appearing on RAW coming soon (as well as fulfilling his duties as a SmackDown Live talent). Coming soon to Monday Night RAW: John Cena '10!

Ever since SummerSlam, the WWE United States Champion Chris Jericho has not stopped boasting about defeating Randy Orton and sending him packing back to SmackDown Live as well as proclaiming himself as the greatest WWE United States Champion in WWE history.

In an effort to find Jericho's next challenger, RAW General Manager Mick Foley stated that according to the RAW rankings, the three top contenders for the WWE United States Championship were Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn and Finn Balor. This outraged Jericho who accused Foley of trying to cause a rift in The New Millenia (the faction consisting of Jericho, Owens and Zayn). Owens didn't seem to mind the opportunity and a conflicted Sami Zayn didn't know what to think. All they knew was that they could not allow Finn Balor to become the #1 contender.

Unfortunately, that's exactly what would happen as Balor would pin Owens with a Reverse DDT. Tonight at Clash of Champions, Chris Jericho has promised to put on a championship defense that Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, The Authority and the entire WWE Universe can be proud of. As far as Finn goes, he has not been available for comment ever since his confrontation with Jericho this past Monday night on RAW.

Match #6
WWE United States Championship
Normal Match
Chris Jericho (c)(w/Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn) vs Finn Balor
Winner by pinfall and STILL WWE United States Champion: Chris Jericho (Codebreaker)(*** ½ Great)

Last month at WWE SummerSlam, “The Beast” Brock Lesnar defeated The Big Show with the F5 in mere seconds and much to the WWE Universe's amazement.

The following night on RAW, four qualifying matches were held involving some of the top RAW Superstars where the winners would compete in a #1 Contender's Fatal 4-Way Match the following week on RAW. This proved to be a great opportunity for “The Man That Gravity Forgot” as it seemed as though Neville had looked like the man that WWE RAW management forgot. However, a focused and determined Neville would defeat Sami Zayn to qualify for the #1 Contender's Fatal 4-Way Match and would ultimately Jinder Mahal, Kevin Owens and Rusev to become the next challenger for Brock Lesnar at WWE Clash of Champions.

Many have been counting Neville out, predicting another seconds-long obliteration but Neville has been insistent that he plans on shocking the world at Clash of Champions much to Lesnar's amusement.

As Paul Heyman heads towards the entrance area, he is approached for an interviewed and hysterically laughs at the notion of Neville somehow finding a way to defeat his client tonight. He heads towards the entrance area in a fit of laughter.

Match #7
Main Event
WWE Universal Championship
Normal Match
Brock Lesnar (c)(w/Paul Heyman) vs Neville
Winner by pinfall and STILL WWE Universal Champion: Brock Lesnar (F5)(**** Amazing)(Squash)
Post-Match: Lesnar takes in his dominant victory before deciding to stomp away at Neville to drive his point home.
