After
losing the rubber match to John Cena at WWE Backlash, a frustrated
Miz came out and mocked Superstars like AJ Styles and Dean Ambrose
for talking about redemption. He claims that he's a greater Superstar
than all of them, in fact he is the greatest Superstar on SmackDown
Live and that is why you see him all over Hollywood. Miz claimed that
he would prove it by challenging “The Viper” Randy Orton to a
match.
After
making short work of Dean Ambrose at WWE Backlash, “The Viper”
replied to Miz's challenge by remarking that the SmackDown Live
locker room must be in the mood for death wishes lately.
Last
month on SmackDown Live, the leader of The Wyatt Family, “The Eater
of Worlds” Bray Wyatt picked up a big victory over The Undertaker
that nobody saw coming. Bray has since been heard whispering about
how “The Phenom's time has gone”. Since then, “The Dead Man”
has been on a hunt, taking down members of The Wyatt Family. A hunt
that has found its way to Philadelphia, home of extreme...

Heath
Slater comes out to the ring and cuts a promo embracing his new tag
team partner Rhyno as well as the WWE Universe. He's realized that he
needs all of them because it's their support that is the reason why
he stands in the ring. He's got kids and he needs this job!
A
cryptic vignette is shown with a muffled and distorted voice that
could barely be understood. It repeats “I've always had it under

General Manager Daniel Bryan comes out and talks to the WWE Universe
as the competitor rather than the GM. He's been enjoying his time
back but is ready to turn up the heat a little more. He disputed his
supposed “elimination” in last week's battle royal but it's okay
because he's going to tap every one of those Superstars out on his
way back to the top!

Baron
Corbin replays footage of himself defeating James Ellsworth last week
and wants to know why he was placed at the very bottom of the
SmackDown Live rankings after his match against AJ Styles at
Backlash. Corbin calls out SmackDown Live Commissioner Shane McMahon
and demands answers.
Shane and Baron exchange verbal jabs as Corbin begins to
slander the commissioner which prompts Shane to remind him of who he
is speaking with. It isn't long before Corbin decides that he's
finally had enough of this back-and-forth and lays out Shane McMahon
with a kick down low. Corbin beats down the SmackDown Live
Commissioner.

Dean
Ambrose comes out to the ring and is still in disbelief with himself
over his seconds-long defeats to Baron Corbin at SummerSlam and to
Randy Orton at Backlash. Even before SummerSlam, Ambrose (who had and
still holds a rematch clause in his contract for a WWE Championship
rematch) was cut in line by John Cena and Baron Corbin who received
their WWE Championship bout opportunities before him. Both have
challenged the WWE Champion AJ Styles and both...have failed. Perhaps
the ending of this chapter for Dean Ambrose sees his redemption in
succeeding where John Cena and Baron Corbin have failed. After
all...that rematch clause is literally all that Ambrose has left, so
here it is: Dean Ambrose is challenging AJ Styles to a WWE
Championship match at WWE No Mercy!
