LAST WEEK ON NXT: The animosity between rivals reached a boiling pint, after Patrick Clark attacked Elias during their tag team match and left his partner alone in the ring to finish the match. Despite this incident, the outnumbered Elias would go on to win the match by himself.

TONIGHT ON NXT: After NXT General Manager William Regal announces that Elias will take on Patrick Clark in two weeks at NXT TakeOver: San Antonio, the irate Elias met with Regal and demanded a match with Clark right here tonight. Regal denies the request but Elias insists that he wants payback and will get it whether Regal grants him his match tonight or not. Regal rationalizes that a match like this would be a great treat for the NXT Universe in Australia and agrees to the match.

Johnny Gargano comes out to the ring on behalf of #DIY and issues a challenge to the NXT Tag Team Champions American Alpha for a championship match in two weeks at NXT TakeOver: San Antonio. NXT General Manager William Regal has already approved it and all they need now is for Chad Gable and Jason Jordan to accept the challenge and sign the contract. Gargano states that Tommaso Ciampa and him are going to the be the ones to take the NXT Tag Team Titles from American Alpha and stop the unstoppable.

LAST WEEK ON NXT: “The Samoan Submission Machine” Samoa Joe defeated Shinsuke Nakamura in Shinsuke's backyard of Tokyo, Japan to regain the NXT Championship.

TONIGHT ON NXT: “The King of Strong Style” Shinsuke Nakamura takes on the NEW NXT Champion Samoa Joe in a rematch inside of a steel cage!

Backstage: Eric Young is with SAnitY and reveals that next week on NXT is when their takeover will begin. They have an NXT Tag Team Championship match where they'll demonstrate just how dangerous they are when they turn out to be the ones to stop the unstoppable American Alpha, take their championships and make them disappear from NXT.

Furthermore, Nikki Cross is going to go one on one against the NXT Women's Champion Asuka at NXT TakeOver: San Antonio and she will add the NXT Women's Championship to SanitY's pile of gold!

NXT's “Best Kept Secret” Buddy Murphy comes to the ring and says that the secret will go on to continue because he's been erased from the show tonight, the NXT event taking place in his home. He says that all of his friends, family and fans all came to see Murphy's greatness live and in person but now they've all been denied. Although he feels that it was NXT General Manager William Regal's responsibility to stop this from happening, Buddy Murphy blames Elias and says that Elias will soon remember this day in regret. Buddy will make sure of it!
