My WWE 2K18 Results: WCW Monday Nitro (April, week 3)

WCW Monday Nitro
April, Week 3, Year 1
St. Petersburg, FL

Nitro opens with footage of William Regal's major WCW World Championship victory at Spring Stampede over Ric Flair and Bam Bam Bigelow. This is Regal's biggest championship win of his career. However, there will be no time for celebration as Regal will have to defend his new championship against “The Nature Boy” tonight!

Bam Bam Bigelow and Wolfpac Sting are informed that they will be competing in a tag team match where they will both have mystery tag team partners. What is the reason for this and who will it be?

Footage is shown of Chris Jericho defeating Diamond Dallas Page last Monday on Nitro after laying DDP out with the Codebreaker. Tonight, they meet in a rematch. This time, it's Falls Count Anywhere and the winner will be next in line to challenge the WCW Hardcore Champion, British Bulldog!

The nWo point out that WCW is still ripe for the taking and they won't stop and can never stop until nWo runs the show. As far as their WCW World Tag Team Championship match at Spring Stampede, Hall and Nash put over The Fabulous Freebirds as the legends that they are. Nobody ever said that a takeover would be easy but taking over is what the nWo does. Tonight, “Big Kev” is going to beat Goldberg just like he did when he broke Goldberg's streak. Then the nWo is going to give their long-time ally, Bret “The Hitman” a choice. Either Bret is with the nWo...or he stays with his Hart Foundation. The clock is ticking, Hitman. Think it through and think it right!

Match #2
Winner Will Be Next In Line For a WCW United States Championship Opportunity

Kevin Nash (w/Scott Hall & Ted DiBiase) vs Goldberg '98
Winner by pinfall: Kevin Nash (Jackknife Powerbomb)(3 ½ * Great)

Footage is shown of Brutus “The Barber” Beefcake's major upset victory over The Big Show last Monday on Nitro. After this shocking development, Big Show would ask for a rematch at WCW Spring Stampede. As an added bonus, since both Superstar's ranks were at a certain level, the vacant WCW World Television Championship would be brought back and put on the line! Big Show would go on to run through Beefcake to win the bout and the WCW World Television Championship but Brutus isn't out of the fight yet. “The Barber” has asked for and is receiving one more match against “The Giant” in a rubber match. Since The Big Show already defeated Brutus to win the WCW World Television Championship at Spring Stampede, tonight's rubber match will be a non-title. However, if “The Barber” can pull off a victory then he will receive another opportunity at the gold!

Match #3
Rubber Match

Big Show vs Brutus “The Barber” Beefcake
Pre: Both shake hands.
Winner by pinfall: Big Show (KO Punch)(4* Amazing/Squash)

NEW WCW United States Champion, Bret “The Hitman” Hart is interviewed and says that he respects Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat as a competitor and puts over their match at Spring Stampede. However, Bret is the superior competitor and if he has to use Ricky as an example then so be it. At Spring Stampede, Bret took his championship and tonight “The Hitman” takes whatever is left!

Ricky Steamboat says that his back is up against the wall tonight and he's ready to strike back. The last thing Steamboat wants is to return to the back of the line when regaining his gold is within his reach.

The WCW World Tag Team Champion, The Fabulous Freebirds talk about still having tag team gold around their waists and defeating The Outsiders at Spring Stampede. They let everybody know just why The Freebirds are the best tag team in professional wrestling history. Not even the power and influence of the nWo could take them down!

Winners: Bam Bam Bigelow & Triple H '01 (Wham, Bam, Thank You, Ma'am)

Triple H and The Undertaker have made surprise debuts/returns! The landscape of of Monday Nitro has just drastically changed. However one thing remains clear on this new season of Nitro, Bam Bam Bigelow's Wham, Bam, Thank You, Ma'am Diving Moonsault remains one of the most deadliest moves in WCW.

Ric Flair says that Regal winning the WCW World Heavyweight Championship at WCW Spring Stampede was a fluke and that he doesn't deserve to be celebrating this if he were any kind of a real man. Regal didn't even pin or submit Flair to do it. As far as “The Nature Boy” is concerned, to be the man who have to beat the man and William Regal has not done that yet!

NEW WCW World Heavyweight Champion, William Regal is at a loss for words trying to explain how he feels. This is the biggest championship victory of his career. He's looking forward to wrestling Ric Flair one on one because tonight's match will be the match where Regal lets the whole world know that he has what it takes to stay at the top of the mountain.
