This past Tuesday night on SmackDown Live, “The Show Off” Dolph Ziggler came out to the ring incredulous over being left off of the show. He was promised a match until he found out that the match was canceled by the Director of Operations, Kane. He called out Kane who defended his actions and told Dolph to wait until he is needed. Ziggler went on about how he is the best performer on SmackDown Live and accused Kane of still being a henchman of The Authority on RAW. Kane assured Ziggler that he is here to serve and assist Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan to the best of his ability and threatens Dolph to fall in line.

Since then, the director of operations, Kane, has deemed that Dolph Ziggler would have to be punished for his unruliness and insolence. His punishment will come in the form of a match tonight on WWE Main Event against Kane himself who still wields a talent contract.
