Much
like The Authority on RAW, Bray Wyatt has been looking to make a
statement on SmackDown Live and usher in a complete takeover. Nothing
makes a louder statement than a victory over The Undertaker which
Bray went on to attain. Since then, “The Dead Man” has been on a
hunt against The Wyatt Family but it has not been as easy as he might
have thought. Despite a victory over Erick Rowan, The Undertaker
would hit a roadblock in the form of Luke Harper.
In
their attempts to make a statement, The Wyatt Family attacked the
former Director of Operations, Kane during a heartfelt speech to the
WWE Universe where he was looking to make amends. This attack only
served to put the gears in motion for Kane and The Undertaker to join
together and not take these attacks lying down. Tonight, The Brothers
of Destruction are back and they go up against The Wyatt Family!

The
eight-time WWE Tag Team Champions, The Usos have displayed a change
of attitude on their journey in the SmackDown Tag Team Championship
tournament. Gone is the Haka, the colors, the smiles and the
facepaint and in its place is aggression and determination which has
paid off with victories over The Wyatt Family and The Ascension to
make their way into the finals tonight.
The
Headbangers have been involved in quite the Cinderella story since
their surprise inclusion in the SmackDown Tag Team Championship
Tournament. Written off by many as a nostalgia act to treat members
of the WWE Universe, Mosh and Thrasher went on to pick up big
victories over The Hype Bros as well as the team of Heath Slater and
Rhyno to advance to the finals. Who will become the inaugural
SmackDown Tag Team Champions?

Dean
Ambrose has had one heck of a ride so far on WWE 2K18. From losing
the WWE Championship to Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania, to regaining it
at Extreme Rules, to losing it to AJ Styles at Money in the Bank, to
regaining it once more at the WWE Draft on SmackDown Live, to losing
it once more to AJ Styles at Battleground to losing a seconds-long
match to Baron Corbin at the biggest party of the summer, SummerSlam.
“The
Lunatic Fringe” is out for redemption of his own (redemption that
AJ Styles was able to find) and with a WWE Championship match and a
rematch against Corbin out of the question, the only thing left for
Ambrose to do was to make a big challenge to a big Superstar. That
Superstar turned out to be “The Viper” Randy Orton.
Ambrose has gave
“The Apex Predator” one week to think about the challenge and was
told by Orton that in actuality he gave Ambrose one week to
reconsider his challenge. A dangerous challenge indeed from “The
Lunatic Fringe”! Will he suffer another debilitating defeat or will
Ambrose finally get back on track with a big victory over “The
Viper”?

Two
months ago, The Miz faced off against John Cena in a thrilling match
that saw Miz pick up what many have called a big upset victory for
him. Miz would go on to brag and boast about this victory until Cena
defeated him in the rematch at WWE Battleground. Tonight, John Cena
and The Miz square off in the rubber match. A win for The Miz would
be a statement-making victory that he belongs in the WWE Championship
picture on SmackDown Live. A victory for Cena would surely propel him
back into WWE Championship contention.

After
winning the WWE Championship at WWE Money in the Bank, AJ would only
hold the championship for one week until Roman Reigns defeated him
for it at WWE Live in Tokyo, Japan. Roman himself would go on to lose
it to his Shield brother, Dean Ambrose at the WWE Draft on SmackDown
Live one week later. “The Phenomenal One” would regain the WWE
Championship at WWE Battleground, eager to successfully defend the
championship as much as he can to prove that he belongs at the top.
After
suffering two non-title losses to John Cena and “The Nature Boy”
Ric Flair, Styles was eager for redemption and attained it at WWE
SummerSlam with a big, successful championship defense against Cena.
Baron
Corbin says that he was cut in line by John Cena but surmises that
it's just as well to let Cena fail and get him out of the way first.
Now there is nobody in the way of “The Lone Wolf” and he
hates...well, not actually...he relishes to tell AJ that his desire
to for a long championship reign is going to be crushed tonight by
Baron Corbin!
