Last week on RAW IS WAR, Steve Austin '97 and Triple H '98 could not set aside their rivalry to win their tag match. Triple H is one and three against “The Rattlesnake” as he looks to make it two and three in tonight's main event.

Hardcore Champion Kurt Angle '01 comes out and talks about his recent efforts to reinvent the Hardcore Championship by adding different dimensions to the term. For so very long the term 'hardcore' was synonymous with steel chairs, falls count anywhere rules, brawling in the audience and so on and so forth. Angle is here with this Hardcore Championship to give it new life as a championship to measure just how hard a Superstar can go in this ring. This is why his championship rematch against Mankind on SmackDown this Thursday will be under normal rules. If the WWE Universe and Mankind doesn't like that rule then they are free to try to take the Hardcore Championship from him.

Eddie Guerrero interrupts Angle and talks about how many people considered the technical matches he was having with Dean Malenko in ECW as hardcore so Eddie is interested in taking Angle up on his words and challenging him to a match with his brand of hardcore. Angle goes on to win the promo battle but comes out of it with one more target on his back.

Last week on RAW IS WAR, Jacqueline threw a tantrum in ring after losing to Trish Stratus in a non-title match, taking out her anger on the referee after losing her cool under the stress of their coming WWE Women's Championship match!
