TONIGHT: JBL welcomes the WWE Universe to SmackDown '16 coming to you from San Antonio, Texas. He reveals that he had a meeting with The Authority earlier today and exchanged some great ideas for tonight's show. Seeing as though they are in San Antonio, JBL suggested that his WrestleMania opponent, the World Heavyweight Champion Arnold T2, should go one on one with San Antonio's own “Heartbreak Kid” Shawn Michaels '98 (A former JBL employee)!

JBL is no doubt trying to to soften up Arnold before their WrestleMania championship match by having him take on one of the greatest world champions in WWE history!

THIS PAST MONDAY NIGHT ON RAW '16: Lita returned and called out Stephanie McMahon and accused Stephanie of abusing her authority to get a championship opportunity at WrestleMania. She then challenged Stephanie to make that Divas Championship match at WrestleMania a Triple Threat.

IN THE OFFICE OF THE AUTHORITY: Stephanie McMahon has thought long and hard about Lita's words from RAW on Monday. Stephanie has decided to simply grant Lita her request and add her to Stephanie's Diva's Championship match at WrestleMania '16. The only thing Lita will have to do is show up ready to compete every week on RAW '16 and SmackDown '16 as she will compete in a series of matches against the Divas Champion Beth Phoenix leading up to the show of shows, WrestleMania!

UP NEXT: Lita gets set to take on the WWE Divas Champion “The Glamazon” Beth Phoenix in a No Holds Barred Match as it appears that Stephanie McMahon is trying to wear down and soften up her two opponents at WrestleMania in a series of grueling matches. BACKSTAGE: Daniel Bryan is seen leaving The Authority's office looking very angry and outraged. When approached for an interview, Bryan clarifies that his outrage has nothing to do with himself. It has to do with what The Authority are planning to do with his longtime friend and mentor William Regal, the man facing WWE Champion '13-'14 Kevin Nash at WrestleMania '16. Bryan looks forward to unleashing this anger outrage inside of the ring against The Authority's big red lapdog, Kane!

BACKSTAGE: The Authority regrets to inform the WWE Champion '13-'14 Kevin Nash and his WrestleMania challenger, William Regal, that they do not believe that their match at WrestleMania is best for business. Nash gets offended but is immediately told that The Authority does indeed believe that Nash is WrestleMania main event material. Their concerns lie with William Regal.

The Authority tells Regal that he knows that he has earned this opportunity fair and square and that is why The Authority is keeping Regal in the championship match at WrestleMania. However, the WWE is a business and they must make a business decision that's best for business. That decision is that Nash and Regal will compete in a series of matches against other WWE Superstars. Any Superstar that defeats Nash or Regal by pinfall or submission will gain entry into the WWE Championship '13-'14 match at WrestleMania.

TONIGHT: William Regal goes one on one against “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair! If Flair defeats Regal then Flair will be added to the WWE Championship '13-'14 match at WrestleMania!

LAST WEEK ON SMACKDOWN '16: Arnold T2 defeated Stone Cold Steve Austin to become the NEW World Heavyweight Champion. The Authority then worked quickly to remove all mentions of Austin from WrestleMania '16 promotional material, replacing him with JBL who The Authority has suddenly chosen as their challenger that is best for business.

SHOW CLOSER PROMO

Former World Heavyweight Champion Stone Cold Steve Austin comes out and says that he will not go quietly into that good night. He congratulates JBL on his World Heavyweight Championship opportunity at WrestleMania '16 but tells him to scoot over because ol' Stone Cold has yet to receive his championship rematch and it might as well be at the grandaddy of 'em all, WrestleMania!
