My WWE 2K18 Results: WWE RAW (July.Week 2)

WWE RAW
July, Week 2, Year 1
Biloxi, MS

Last week on RAW, “The Viper” Randy Orton talked about defeating Chris Jericho at Money in the Bank to regain the WWE United States Championship when Jericho interrupted to try to put Orton in his place. Instead, Jericho got on the receiving end of an attack by “The Viper” that turned into a fight. Stephanie and Shane McMahon agree that if these two Superstars are going to tear each other apart then they should at least do so under the auspices of one on one competition. So tonight on RAW, the WWE United States Champion, “The Viper” Randy Orton will take on Chris Jericho!

Show Opener Promo
Footage is shown of Roman Reigns defeating AJ Styles at a WWE Live event in Tokyo, Japan to become the NEW WWE Champion. Roman comes out and cuts a promo taking in this moment as he stands in front of the WWE Universe as the new WWE Champion. He then acknowledges that his Shield brother, Dean Ambrose had made a challenge for the WWE Championship in two weeks when SmackDown goes Live on Tuesday nights. As his Shield brother, Roman acknowledges Dean's challenge and will put the championship on the line against him at SmackDown Live. As far as tonight goes, Roman and Dean are going to be facing off against The Club, Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows, two guys that should be worried for their safety after the beating that Roman gave to AJ in Tokyo!

If Stephanie McMahon had her way she would name Baron Corbin as the #1 contender for the WWE Championship. However, Shane McMahon disputes her wishes by stating that he'd rather have a #1 contender be determined through competition and one Superstar that has stepped up to challenge Stephanie's claim is “The Man That Gravity Forgot” Neville.

Match #1
Normal Match
Baron Corbin vs Neville
Winner by pinfall: Baron Corbin (End of Days)(*** ½ Great)
Post-Match: Neville offers a handshake that Corbin surprisingly accepts.

The Club, Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows are stopped and interviewed. They say that the entire Club is not happy over what happened in Tokyo this past weekend. Tokyo is Club territory and Roman has now made himself a target by invading their territory. They are 100% sure that AJ will be coming back for that WWE Championship so they figured they'd do a good brother deed tonight and soften up his competition tonight by softening up Reigns and Ambrose.

Last week on RAW, Apollo Crews won the Golden Opportunity Battle Royal and earned an opportunity at the WWE Intercontinental Championship currently held by League of Nations member, Alberto Del Rio. The League of Nations have also been challenged to a match on social media by Tyson Kidd and Cesaro. So tonight, Stephanie and Shane McMahon have reached an agreement to pit The League of Nations against Apollo Crews, Tyson Kidd and Cesaro in six-man tag team action!

Middle Card Promo
John Cena comes out and wants to put The Miz over for their great match last week. Cena says that it was the most difficult Miz match that he has ever had. Cena states that The Miz he faced last week felt three times as tough to The Miz he faced back at WrestleMania XXVII. With that said, he doesn't want to call Miz's victory a fluke but at the end of the day who's to say that's not what happened? If Cena and Miz were to face off again who would the odds favor in a rematch? The Miz comes out and says that he already knows what Cena is getting at. He knows that losing to Miz is eating him up inside and he's dying for that rematch. Cena retorts by saying that if Miz is truly confident in his abilities then he wouldn't even bat an eyelash at a rematch right here tonight. Miz chortles and laughs before continuing to laugh at the notion of competing in front of these people in Biloxi. Miz feels that he deserves a better audience. Cena wonders if Miz is worried that Cena is going to obliterate all of that momentum that Miz thinks that he's got. Miz fires back by suggesting that they have that rematch in three weeks at WWE Battleground because Cena is going to need all of the time in the world to prepare for The Miz 2, and the sequel is going to be much more greater than the first installment of the beatdown that Miz gave Cena. Cena accepts the proposed date for the rematch at WWE Battleground and tells Miz that if anyone should be training for the fight of his life it's Miz. The segment seems to end when Miz picks a microphone back up and proposes a final question. What is the almighty John Cena going to do when he is defeated two times in a row by someone who he seems not to take that serious?

Match #5
Normal Match
Brie Bella (w/Nikki Bella) vs Emma
Winner: Brie Bella

Middle Card Promo
Brock Lesnar comes out and gives Jack Swagger credit for having the courage to call out “The Beast” last week on RAW. He goes as far as to give Swagger credit for getting in one really good German Suplex in on Brock when things got ugly. And Brock knows that Swagger is a World Heavyweight Championship-caliber athlete. But as long as Jack is in the ring with Brock Lesnar he may as well be a nobody. Brock accepts Swagger's challenge to a match at WWE Battleground and tells Jack to enjoy these three weeks living in that beautiful fantasy world. A world where Swagger believes that he has a chance against “The Beast”.

Match #6
Tag Team Match
The Shield (Roman Reigns & Dean Ambrose)(w/Seth Rollins) vs The Club (Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows)(w/AJ Styles)
Winners: The Shield

The WWE Draft occurs next week when SmackDown goes live on Tuesday nights!

Show Closer Promo
The #1 contender for the WWE Women's Championship, “The Lass-Kicker” Becky Lynch comes out and wants to make it known that despite being the #1 contender for Charlotte's WWE Women's Championship, the pair are still best friends and they are not going to end up like Sasha Banks and Charlotte and turn a beautiful friendship into a thing of hatred. With that said, Becky reveals that she has actually already defeated Charlotte albeit in a non-title match this past weekend in Tokyo, Japan. Becky rubs the victory in, in a friendly sort of way. Charlotte comes out and makes sure that Becky knows that at WWE Battleground when all of the chips are down, they are going to tear the house down and Charlotte is going to walk out of that big fight as STILL the WWE Women's Champion.
