The #1 contender for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, Lex Luger comes out to the ring to kick off Monday Nitro as footage is shown of “The Total Package” besting the WCW World Heavyweight Champion Ric Flair '91 in a promo battle last week. Luger says that he wants that WCW World Heavyweight Championship match tonight but Flair says that Luger needs to invest in a watch because this whole place runs on “Nature Boy Time” and that time is not tonight.

Mid-Match: Malenko starts to gain the advantage which prompts Bret to start heading to the back to abandon this match. Ricky Steamboat '94 intercepts him and sends Hart back into the ring.

Scott Hall comes out to the ring as footage is played of Disco Inferno (the man who Hall had attacked the prior week with a steel chair) attacking him during his entrance on the ramp. Hall is angry and he wants to finish off Disco Inferno tonight. He likens Disco to a mosquito or an insignificant fly that you just can't kill. Disco comes out and says that he has decided to take another week off per his doctor's request but says that he has met with WCW officials and discussed a couple of ideas of opponents for Scott Hall tonight. Disco reveals that Hall's opponent in tonight's main event will be the man they call Vader!
