My WWE 2K18 Results: WCW Monday Nitro (September.Week 3)

WCW Monday Nitro
September, Week 3, Year 1
Tucson, AZ

Footage is shown of the rivalry between Bret “The Hitman” Hart '98 and Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat '94 from earlier this year where Bret went on to win the rivalry emphatically. Because of that outcome, many people bet against Steamboat in his return match against Bret two weeks ago on Nitro. “The Dragon” would go on to upset everyone that bet against him that night after he picked up a big victory over “The Hitman” in non-title competition.

Since then, Ricky has been on a roll defeating Superstars such as Vader and Lord Steven Regal. Last week on Nitro, Bret came down to ringside to get a front-row seat to his rival's match. Steamboat threw his opponent right into his rival after a heated exchange between the two. Tonight, WCW management has granted Bret's request of a non-title rematch tonight in Tucson on Nitro!

Match #1
ECW World Heavyweight Championship Tournament
Quarter Final Round
Extreme Rules Match
Ron Simmons vs “Stunning” Steve Austin
Winner by pinfall: Ron Simmons (Dominator)

Last week on Nitro, The Undertaker '00 came out to the ring and called out Kevin Nash before engaging in a promo battle that “The American Bad Ass” would get the better of as WWE fires a shot back at WCW.

Match #2
Two on One Handicap Brawl
The Undertaker '00 vs The Outsiders (Kevin Nash & Scott Hall)
Winners: The Outsiders

Last week on Nitro, ECW's Kurt Angle made his shocking WCW Nitro debut and called out the WCW World Heavyweight Champion Ric Flair and intensely challenged him to a championship match. “The Nature Boy” ultimately would go on to win the promo battle and accept Angle's challenge before letting Kurt know that he can look as intense as he wants but nobody intimidates “The Nature Boy”. Angle wonders if Flair would feel differently if he threw around members of The Four Horsemen back and forth across the ring. Angle takes on Four Horsemen member, “The Man of 1,000 Holds””The Iceman” Dean Malenko tonight!

Match #3
Normal Match
Kurt Angle '06 vs Dean Malenko
Winner by submission: Dean Malenko! (Texas Cloverleaf)(*** ½ Great)

Show Closer Promo
The Game” Triple H '01 makes a shocking appearance on Nitro and makes no bones about it. He is affiliated with the WWE. These people in Tucson and everyone else watching at home know who he is but they don't know why he's here and Triple H doesn't care if they don't know. All that they need to know is that the nWo made a very similar appearance on Nitro before going on to run roughshod over WCW. The difference between the nWo and him is that there was a whole bunch of guys in the New World Order, even off-shoots and spin-off factions. The difference is that they took over with numbers while all Triple H needs is just Triple H to get the job done. He advises the WCW locker room to start looking for coping classes because every single person on this roster is going to bow down to him.

Match #4
Main Event
Rivalry Match
Non-Title
Normal Match
Bret “Hitman” Hart '98 vs Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat '94
Mid-Match: Steamboat starts to send Hart reeling before Bret rolls out of the ring and goes to abandon the match. Steamboat refuses to let this match play out that way and exits the ring to grab “The Hitman” who turns around and lays out Ricky with a sucker punch.
Winner by submission: Bret “Hitman” Hart '98 (Sharpshooter)(*** Very Good)

NEWS

BLINDSIDED
Bret “Hitman” Hart '98 feigned an attempt to walkout of his match against his rival, taking advantage of his opponent's frustration. Ricky Steamboat '94 chased after him only to be struck with an unexpected sucker punch, playing right into his opponent's hands.

INJURY REPORT
Undertaker '00 has suffered a minor injury during brawl with The Outsiders, although doctors have cleared him to continue competing.
